What Armor Do You Use ?

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 1:50 pm

Lots of people seem to go straight for the Daedric Armor the first chance they get.

I was using Dwarven Armor (Legendary) until level 30 or so, but i was given the Ebony Mail after finishing a quest today and it is hands down my favourite, it looks really cool and gives you the ability to move quietly.

What does everyone else think ?

Vriddi uses Orcish, Hildi uses Scaled, Belladonna wears a dress, Griselda is in DB set, and Angharad wears Elven

I usually stick with leather armour for my light character. It just seems to suit him more than the bright shiny glass and the DB armour is too form fitting for my taste. So for stealth oriented, I choose leather (the leather also really suits the fee of Skyrim to me.)

For heavy, I really like the orcish armour. Rugged in looks, not shiny, not as evil looking as daedric and not as goofy looking as dragon (again, this is all opinion and your tastes may vary).

For light characters, I really like armour that can also pass for clothing somewhat. I usually ended up grabbing up a mod for armour in both the Fallouts and I'll likely do the same here in Skyrim.

I used Steel Plate Armor for a while, then Ebony. When I started the TG and DB I used light armor (which helped gain experience since I had maxed out heavy armor). Right now I am using Ebony Mail. I find myself not creating my own armor, since I do not want to enchant until I can put 2 enchantments on. But at my current pace I will not reach that perk.

The jagged crown looks really good, my bro. told me there is a mod that turns the good looking helms into circlet looking crowns. Like the front of the glass helm attached to a gold circlet.Any way, I like to use ebony, glass, and daedric.

Tsun's armour, most detailed vanilla armour in the game, even looked good before the 2k texture pack. The pics don't show the near perfect reflection map in action either.

Currently have a set of Elven armor I stole off of some Thalmor. Not sure if I'll stick with it, we'll see.

Ulfang is wearing steel plate armor with an Ancient Nord helmet. And Lydia he has wear steel plate with no helmet because, well, she just looks good in it. :hubbahubba:

arch0mages robes, but I use ebony mail when needed (i.e. out of magicka. I use ebony mail and dawnbreaker) and I'm never without my thieves guild armor and shrouded set.

Nightingale for light and Deadric for heavy unless it does not fit my character. I have maxed Nightingale right now, wait it's only 550, I lied. ;) 567 is max.

I don't use anything above steel plate armor. Also got a few mods that make the lower-tier armors like iron and steel look more decent. So yeah, I don't have to use any of that silly impractical-looking stuff like ebony or daedric.

My main character is a Bosmer, so I use light armor to stay in the role.

Heavy: Daedric or Dragonplate

Light: Dragonscale, Nightingale, or Shrouded. Depending on what I'm doing.

I normally go with Heavy because it eventually becomes more beneficial. You can simply use the Steed Stone until you can get conditioning, or simply use Steed Stone all the way through.

I'm only level 23 and my Smithing skill is only around 30 or so, so I cant craft much. Using Steel Plate, Iron Helm of Major Magic, and Nordic Steel Gauntlets of Wielding (or Archery depending on the situation). Several different boots, including Iron Waning Fire, Dwarven Muffling, and Glass Hauling (but that costs me my perk that gives me a bonus to using all heavy armor).

Both my characters have mostly Ebony right now. What can I say, I love that whole, Black Knight look, like a heavily armed Ringwraith. Also, on my main character, I've been using mostly the same set of armour since I was like, level 30, mostly because its just really good set of armour.
