what makes you not want to live in this world?

Post » Tue Jul 26, 2011 3:59 am

The whole sixual reproductive cycle (its all so primitive...and if you think about it pregnancy is like having a huge parasite feeding off of your body - no thanks!) and life having to consume other life for survival. Pretty basic things but I see them as huge flaws. I seriously can't wait until we evolve into cyborgs... I want to look organic but have a purely mechanical interior and be free from biological desires/needs - once we reach that point we will no longer be animals and will have evolved to a whole new level of consciousness. Sometimes I honestly feel like I got off at the wrong stop planet!

Bah, biological needs/desires make us who we are. Sacrificing them is just turning yourself into one of the Cybermen.

I think that's precisely what she wants, nature disgusts her......erm, at least that's what I'm getting out of it.

BIg Corporations having enough influence in politics to prevent technological/medical breakthroughs that might hurt their business from ever seeing the light of day

There's a certain something I'd like to replace "big corporations" with and I'd like to add that it also causes certain laws to be created and maintained, is used as justification for conquest, genocide, and murder, and has historically been used to sway people into believing certain things... like sheep, but I'm not sure if it goes against the rules or not. For a hint, stem cell research, abortion rights, and the destruction of nearly the entirety of ancient Mayan and Aztec codexes.

Anyway, that's just my opinion and I'm not going to discuss it as I don't want to dwell into unsafe territory.

You don’t have to be religious to disagree with those if that is what you are hinting at o_?

No, but I simply strongly dislike religious beliefs having enough influence to do these things and force these actions/judgements on people. That's all.

Why? When it comes to ethical decision their opinions can be as valid as anyone else’s.

This right here is treating too deeply. Waaaay too deeply. Not to mention it is extremely tiring to hear comments like this almost every day from someone.

The Illuminati.

Just the fact that no one knows about them pisses me off, and shows me how blind the world is.

And why do we need to know about them , I just find it funny you seem to want everyone to know of them, I am guessing you are one of those conspiracy people but whatever  .

For me the list is quite long.
People can't seem notice people are people.
Or that just because we have something in different we should fight each other.
People who think their race is naturally better.
People not working together in some ways.
People going into other people's personal life and giving them trouble about it.
It can go on and on......

I don't even know who they are beyond the possibly fictional representation of them in one of those two Dan Brown books. Who are they and do they have any relevance to the modern world?

I can't think of a reason I'd not want to live here. Sure there are tons of problems in this world, but as I love living I see no alternative.

Maybe in the USA it isn’t. I’ve come to realize that fundamentalists get a lot more attention there than elsewhere.

The Illuminati was founded by Adam Weishaupt in Bavaria in 1776. It had about 2,000 members over it's 10 year existence before the Bavarian government cracked down on them in the mid 1780's, resulting in the group's demise. By the late 1790's, people were already publishing books postulating their survival and a grand conspriacy, and these memes caught on, to be carried forth for over 200 years into the modern era as modern conspiracy theories about the illuminati.
