what makes you not want to live in this world?

Post » Mon Jul 25, 2011 6:44 pm

six Jokes, swarms of people that think they are being funny or clever when really all they do is annoy, people that will bring up a celebrity or something because its the cool thing to do, love triangles.

Basically, the amount of stupidity that emits in High School... please tell me it gets better.

Would you prefer long debates about some contemporary issue? Or maybe a spelling bee? Face it, even if you were to have one nothing of value would come of it, it's more fun to at least try to be funny or find some common ground; whether that's jokes about dlldos or the latest gossip about Lady Gaga. I'll have to agree with you on love triangles though.

Heh, there's too much stuff to list that makes me not want to live on this planet anymore.

So, instead, I'll just list what does. My daughter.

If it weren't for her.......but then I think, what the [censored] type of a world have I brought her into.

There is nothing good in this world. It all needs to burn.

Is that you Eminem?

Nothing. While many things annoy and frustrate me, there is no other "world" accessible to me in life where things are better. This is the point in history we were born to participate in, and dwelling on problems that make you want to live in some other more perfect world is just a waste of time. The only thing that would truly make me want to "live in another world" is if my body or mind was compromised in some serious way, but otherwise I just accept reality for what it is and make the best of it.

It certainly wasn't the best years of my life, but what made high school quite bearable was that 1) I stayed the hell away from school as often as I could, and 2) I stayed the hell away from most other students and thus away from the drama and self-absorbed/egocentric environment they were perpetually engulfed in.

That people don't seem to care about anything but themselves nowadays.
That the rudest people at school are also the most popular
Being shy and wanting to not be

There's much more, however most of these don't warrant not living

In high school ( prior to dropping out ) I was placed in a special ed program and had to deal with, literally, insane kids all day. From random fights to outrageous temper tantrums, it was daily conflict. If you think the general population of students is bad, spend a few months with the kids who are segregated. I didn't really mind it that much, though, as the typical students were very boring, I was once in honors classes and slowly worked my way down to the speds, these kids were at least entertaining.
The curious thing about the whole program was that it stuck all the scumbags together. I met a lot of people in there, and a bunch of them are in jail, just getting out, or going back in. It was basically a place to harbor soon-to-be criminals before they drop out or, miraculously, graduate so they can move on and become even bigger scumbags with their new contacts.
Needless to say, the program was scrapped shortly after I dropped out due to its ineffectiveness and they mixed the population with one of the two other, less harsh, programs.

I heard Earth used too be awesome before the 1500s. Mainly the industrialization and the radiation these scientists so cleverly discovered. Those are the main things why I don't wanna live here anymore.

Disease, enforced ignorance, women as pvssyl, infant mortality, brutally oppressive regimes, religion as totalitarianism, not my idea of awesome.

Oh, and yes I know we have some of this today, but things are so much better for so many.

College will be better, if you allow it. In general, people give less than two [censored] about things, but be warned students can also go to big extremes. Gossip and high school drama is often very unwelcome, at least where I went, so you should be fine. Otherwise, you'll wind up even more miserable and alone, or worse, a pretentious [censored] if you continue hating the world, people, etc because you cannot stop giving too much of a [censored] or give no one a chance. It's not that hard finding a group of people to hang with and share similar interests. And don't be afraid to go to parties, but go to ones with people you like.

Eventually, despite not being the type to join fraternities, I ended up joining one with a bunch of other men who also would not be the type to join them, nor really would. Best decision of my life.

Just remember, when you go to college, you are a blank slate. Take advantage of it, and find a good group of friends. Heck, don't be afraid to join a fraternity if you find the guys there to be a good bunch. With brotherhood, you are brothers for life, and the alumni are often the most hardcoe guys you'll ever meet.

EDIT: Oh, and those who say High School was the best years of their life are, indeed, either [censored] liars, or were Mr. Popular who become an absolute nobody afterwards, because they felt sports, drinking, and drugs would get them somewhere, instead of realizing it helps to know some math and basic English.

Well i've always considered myself very lucky to be alive because i have read great works, and met wonderful human beings, but there are a couple of things that genuinely depress me if i think about them and they are linked.

The first one is that i fear there may be no god, no one to make things right in the end, no one that has the ultimate right to judge or bring justice, and no one to bring back the good people that have died, the thought that all is for nothing and that notihng matters in the end is deeply troubling to me.

Secondly, nature makes me sick and i hate it with a passion, i see it as a deceiver, beautiful on the outside, cruel and vicious underneath, cannibalistic and merciless.

Everything devours everything else, even fire cannot burn without consuming oxygen, the universe seems to be parasitic in nature with everything from chemical reactions to even our own capitalist system all demanding their payment in fuel or coin, all hands are turned against each other and nature represents that blind devouring.

If i were to try and represent nature symbolically i'd draw a blind creature eating it's own head.

Such a merciless construct as nature has another problem, if god did exist then he'd have to be responsible for the misery nature brings, the inumerable cancers and diseases that afflict all living creatures, and the merciless predatory instincts, foul and ignoble that so many animals exhibit would all be down to his work, so even if god exists, it still is deeply troubling to think he made so many horrific things.

Blimey that looks dramatic when i re-read it, but it is an honest answer.

Err... I should've been more specific, my bad. Before 2000 BC when things were much simpler. IMO when we advanced we advanced the wrong way with idiots leading us. Before all of this humans were just hunters, gatherers, etc. Sounds more fun too me than listening too a bunch of idiots going around spreading bs and listening to too corrupt people. By the way those things you listed are still going on.

what are somethings that make you not want to live in this world anymore?

for me its when something tragic happens and it gets over shadowed by something STUPID
like i only heard about norway on here but when whinehouse dies thats all my cell says, all fb says all twitter says all my freaken google plus says
it is stupid, the women was dying from drugs already
or when people ask the dumbest question, i was driving my jeep and someone said "nice jeep, is it yours?"

The old phrase misery loves company still stands true. So ignore the "hollywood drama" turn on a good football (soccer) game and everything will be ok!

Glory glory Man United

Theres tragedy going on all over. My home town Chicago is in an epidemic with heroin and riddled with gang violence and children dying in the cross fire but there is beauty to behold in the city none the less!

State of mind and positive action.

Hey, I loved high school. The fact that I went to a private school and graduated with only 44 other people probably helped, though. :P

When people ask me a question that I've already answered.
Okay, that's just a peeve, but, you get my point.

I don't want to be removed from this world, it seems quite selfish. I would rather stay here and help people find a reason to want to stay here too.
I will leave this world in the blink of an eye, even if it seems like a long time, it is nothing compared to how long some things take to live and die in this universe.
