Best: toss up between Okami and God of War II

Worst: Silverfall. The most hideously poor translation for dialog I have ever encountered, poor quest structuring, stupid AI, stupid quests, barely (and poorly) implemented alignment system... Horrible game, I couldn't finish it I was so disgusted with it. Lots of potential, but they should never have released the game until they polished it past the Beta stage. And shame on the developer for dropping the ball on all support for the game, including hosting the forums. One positive aspect: it did come with a CS. I just wasn't motivated enough to try to figure it out and fix the whole game. Oh, and can't forget how the TAGES DRM made the game minimize every half hour. <_<

I'll apply judgement in the sense of having completed the games. The best, naturally, would be Planescape:Torment. Great dialogue, interesting world and characters, witty humour and dialogue, good graphics (for it's time) and only found lacking in the combat AI department.

The worst, I daresay, is Return to Krondor. Never, ever, EVER will I lay eyes upon the game again, as long as I live and breathe. Only good thing about it was the ingenious lockpicking system, but other than that, the game was utterly a turd.

Worst, as per most disappointed: Oblivion.

Best? Do I really have to narrow it down to just one? Eh, I'll go with Deus Ex. I've yet to play a game that tops it.

As for the worst game I've ever played, that goes to Might & Magic IX. That series' jump into full 3D was horrifying, to say the least.

Best: Fallout 3
Worst: I haven't played it but I've seen footage - E.T. by Atari.

Best(s) for me- Fallout 3, Gears of War, Call of Duty 3, Call of Duty: MW (1/2), Halo 2(only played MP at my friend's house, but it was sick!!), WoW(don't have, wish I did, but it is a money/time svcker), Burnout Paradise ((They are in no particular order))

Worst- That E.T. game is crap, I played it in study hall last year on this kid's Atari, it is just so retarded. Also Warhammer Online, Call of Duty: WaW, Command and Conquer 4(MP beta, ruined everything from the first games)

Yeah but after mods Oblivion can become the most realistic experience I have ever encountered. My dad was a mountaineer, I often woke up in the Cuillins of Skye, the mountains of Litichoro in Greece in spring, some col above Wasdale, Borrowdale or Langdale, Pene Haute or Cavellers in the Pyrenees, and with the right mods the chill wasn't just the weather. A brilliant attempt when we include the community. So I can't denigrate it.

Worst
Silent Hunter 4

What don't you like about Silent Hunter 4? I recently bought it but haven't played it yet. I heard good things about it, and it seemed to appeal to my love of simulations.

I've played so many games I can't choose a Best, or Worst. I mean there's Morrowind, Worms Armageddon, Diablo 2, IL2 Sturmovik, the old C64 gold box games, Master Of Monsters for the sega genesis...the list goes on and on.

(I have ET for the Atari in a drawer somewhere. It's not quite as bad as the reviews say, but it's not a good game.)

Best:Two Worlds
Worst: Two worlds

I absolutely adore this game, not because it's good. Nay, because it's unrestrained garbage on a grand scale. The dialogue was laughably bad, in fact it's a gag amongst my friends. That's why i love it. Anytime you thought it'd get better, it proceeded to stab it's own eyes out. That's why it's both.

For a more serious best though (I couldn't say, it's to difficult to choose)

Best - GTA SA, Fallout 3, Call of Duy 4. & last but not least - Spongebob Battle for Bikini bottom!!!!
Worst - Some PS2 game, I don't remember the name but it was about a city being over runned by water. You would start of as a waiter. I couldn't understand what you where supposed to do. Can anyone guess what that game is? I found it at Walmart in a pile & it was pretty cheap so I picked it up.

If you like dying from laughter, you should play the Hannah Montana Xbox 360 game. My friend is an achievement addict and will play anything to get gamerpoints, so he rented it. It's so ridiculously bad, it makes Two Worlds look like GOTY material.

For example, one of the features in the game is "collecting" items for your Tour Bus. And by collecting, you're basically stealing. Hannah will steal stuff from the market, the zoo, and even her own grandma's house for her Tour Bus. She even took a couch from the middle of a market. The best part is when you go into her room and click on the wall and it tells you "You've found wallpaper for your Tour Bus!," and all I could imagine was her ripping the wallpaper off the wall for her Tour Bus. I just sat there and laughed, tears streaming down my face, for maybe 5 minutes. Funniest moment in a videogame ever.

This is a tough one. It's hard to choose a single best game I've ever played, but if push came to shove I think Morrowind might edge it for me. There is just something about that game that no other can seem to match. Honourable mention to: Company of Heroes, Half Life 2, Halo: Combat Evolved, Dawn of War.

I have no idea what the worst game I've ever played is, but the first that comes to mind is Kane & Lynch. I rented it last summer to play through on co-op with a friend only to find that it didn't even have online co-op, which is ridiculous for a game built around the idea of co-op. So I decided to try playing through it by myself instead. I managed to force myself to the second level but I just couldn't bring myself to go any further. No amount of tweaking of the sensitivity settings could make that game control well, and the story also made little sense. Terrible game all round.

1. Far Cry 1

Wow, that's the second instance of somebody listing the first Far Cry as one of their worst. I'm not going to judge or anything - everyone has their own opinion - but I'm really interested in knowing what about it you hate. Hell, I can name off plenty of flaws, like the mercenaries using rocket launchers as sniper rifles and being accurate with them, or the AI being as dumb as a brick wall and running up to you in single file if you're in dense foliage. They seriously won't shoot, probably because they think the foliage is a wall due to bad AI scripting. Then there's the whole thing with the game turning into Unreal Tournament near the end. Still, I enjoyed it.

The best game I've ever played would be either Halo 3: ODST or Killzone 2.

The worst game? Easy. Azurik. End of story.

And let's never speak of the fact I actually played it, shall we?

Worst: Trespasser (somehow I actually managed to complete it)
Best: Either Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight or Morrowind. Not only are they great games, but they also had a huge influence on my decision to become a game artist.
