What is the Best and Worst game you've ever played?

Hello everyone,

What is the best game you've ever played?
What is the worst game you've ever played?
--------------------------------------------------------
The worst game I ever played, without a doubt is "Z-Hunter". I'll never forget this junk game.
It has two DVDs but only less than 1GB real content, the other contents are COMPLETELY
irrelevent and copied from somewhere else(read: other game). they're not even used in the
game, hell it's not even a game.

The best game I ever played is Resident Evil 4, this game is excelent, it have no major flaw
or downside. I loved this game and finished it more than three times. It may not be Horror
anymore but it's still a perfect game.

Best: Fallout 3

Worst: That's a bit tougher. Probably Shadowrun on the Xbox 360. The game was all multiplayer, with no singleplayer except for tutorials, and it was just terrible. And the achievements were all practically impossible to get considering how much the multiplayer svcked.

Edit: Typo

Best Game: Total Annihilation (And I don't give a rat's ass that it's almost 20 years old)
Worst Game: Any game from ValuSoft (I think that's the company name that make them) (Prison Tycoon series, Beer Tycoon just to name a few of the awesomely crappy games they make)

Worst game is possibly http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/wetlands. I only bought it for a few bucks when it was a few years old but I was still greatly disappointed in it and only played it for a few minutes.

Best game, well, that's much harder to choose as there are plenty of excellent games out there, but I rank the http://www.mobygames.com/game-group/system-shock-series very highly.

best: i guess based on hours clocked and number of characters created.. it would have to be oblivion. i never get tired of it. especially the shivering isles. the first time i sat in the chair and talked to haskill, and the room turned into butterflies.. then the deep space sky and giant mushrooms everywhere... oooohhh mannnn!! i didn't think it could get any better than that.
worst: maybe runescape.. total bore fest. but i still sat there and mined a good chunk of my life away... ughghhghh..

Best: StarCraft.

Worst: I'd probably go with Dungeon Siege, it was pretty awful. Not the worst game of all time, but the worst I've actually sunk any time into.

Best: Civilization (I) / Morrowind

Worst: Rygar on NES, one of the levels had music consisting of three notes played over and over and over, and for me, the final boss was impossible. It wasn't even that fun to play unlike Battletoads :D The PS2 remake wasn't much better.

Best: I think i have to be boring and say Half-Life 2. Everything in it just.. works. Some Legend of Zelda games (Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess) are pretty darn close, and i definetly have to mention Shadow of the Colossus, but still there is something in HL2, the story, setting and gameplay all work together perfectly. Killing cyborg insect gunships and walkers is just fun :D

Best game, probably Morrowind, though that has a lot to do with nostalgia.

Worst game I can remember...Mirror's Edge, god that game was terrible.

Worst game I ever played was Ancient Wars: Sparta. The absolutely must horribly glitched and buggy game I have EVER played in my ENTIRE life. A few bugs I have encountered:

1. If you have the demo installed, using the DVD-launcher to launch the game, will launch the demo instead of the full game.
2. Sometimes beating a level in the campaign won't let you go to the next level.
3. When you move the map around by clicking on the minimap, the screen will flash blank for a split-second.
4. Even if you don't play online, you can get messages saying you have been disconnected, and the game will exit.
5. If you change the graphical settings in the game and click the "restart" button to restart the game, it will crash and not restart.
6. Pressing "Home Page" in the DVD-launcher will take you to a russian version of the homepage.

A few other annoying things:

1. There is an unusual long pause in dialogue between characters.
2. If you mount soldiers on horses and load them on to a ship, when you unload them again, they will not be mounted on the horses, but stand beside them.
3. AI is ridiculously hard even on the easiest difficulty. It feels like when you are playing against a korean in StarCraft.
4. AI doesn't build ships.
5. You can't choose a resolution higher than 1600x1200 pixels.

The best game... hmm.. dunno. As much as I enjoy playing games with great visuals on my PC such as Crysis or Far Cry 2, I'd say it's Age of Empires 2. StarCraft is fun, but the AI is not noob-friendly :)

Best: Dragon Quest VIII. A huge sprawling wolrd, that you can circumnavigate, a gripping story and the most beautiful cel shaded graphics that make you feel like you're in a Disney film. There is literally nothing wrong with that game, which is why it goes higher than more ambitous ones like Morrowind, which has faults, however small.

Worst: Gladius. A Roman Arena turnbased RPG, but set in some crazy ass alternate world where the races and names are suspiciously Elder Scrolls (though I didn't know that at the time). Counterintuitive controls, ugly graphics, the worst hammy dialogue ever, and gameplay that is completely boring and uninspiring.

Best Game: I killed myself to answer. Morrowind. Very hard to choose.

Worst Game: UNO Demo (PSN) The game tells you what can be thrown, I wish this existed in real life.

Worst: Either Far Cry 1,

Seriously? Far Cry? I'm just curious why you didn't like it. I absolutely loved the environment. Didn't like the console style saves but luckily they were close enough together. Annoying as hell was the save point just BEFORE replenishing your supplies. But other than that. I loved the environment. I got lost in the jungle several times. I spent about 45 minutes climbing a hill for a good sniper spot. Almost any other game wouldn't have even allowed me to try and climb that hill.

BEST: I think I'd have to say Deus Ex.

Worst: Oh so many but forced to pick one I'd have to say, Doom 3. At least I think that's what it was. About the 10th time that the lights went out and a dozen critters spawned behind me, well, I couldn't rip it out of my PC fast enough. Gave it away a few days later. They really nailed the environment though. Too bad it was wasted on utter crap. I have similar feelings about Halo. The first was crap. Didn't bother with any of the others.

While there's no "Worst" game really, for the Best I'd have to say http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Control_II and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search?search=Planescape%3A%20Torment and the first http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-COM (AKA UFO: Enemy Unknown) come a very close second and third.

One or all of those games helped define me as a person. ★

Best Game: The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. It is the greatest game of all time. ^_^

Worst Game:

Hungry Horace (I was already in love with the BBC or pub version (yes we had to wear make up and bluff 18 years of age to play arcade games then) of Ms Pacman. I presume I won't be banned for 25 years of confession. Tho I wouldn't be surprised.
