What's the most annoying thing in Skyrim?

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 2:44 am

NPCs not being aware of current events/status: I'm the leader of the Companions! Not the new whelp that fetches the mead!

That save files from different characters get mixed in the same list.

Lame dialogue, bad voice acting, lack of consequential moral choices or dialgue choices that allow you to shape a personality.

A deal breaker? Naw, I've played Bethesda before. It's always like this. For me it's accept it or get out. You won't find me jumping up and down venting nerd rage. What evs, the game is fun enough. Just have to crank it up to master difficulty and RP my ass off. It's all good.

Me not being a nostalgic person helps as looking at the past with rose colored goggles can really hinder the enjoyment of ANYTHING, including games.

This. I've lost 10-20 of gameplay hours so far because they got overwritten by newer saves.

The only thing annoying in Skyrim I have found is Ice Wraiths and Mage Anomolies. 1 is hard to see the other has too much health.

1) Having the "Dark Brotherhood Forever" quest permanently pasted into my active quest list.

2) Nirnroor glow lingering even after Nirnroot is removed - especially annoying at night.

My personal peeve of the series (and fallout) is the pause combat feature. I don't mind the pause so much as the fact that you can act during the pause.

my game crashing every time I try to wait anywhere. Re-tarted backward flying dragons, my companions being flung out of the interior cells in dungeons thanks to the stupid swinging axes. Had Annekke thrown out of the game literally.

The way invisibility in melee combat works. Mobs just keep following you and attacking because they can hear you. No one would do that. You would not continue to attack, just because you hear where it is standing. You wouldn't jump on it because you cannot see what it is your are jumping on! You could be leaping forward into a blade. You don't know. And you would know this intuitively, and not do it. Even if you had just seen the target a few seconds ago, and he wasn't holding a blade, he could have pulled one out of his ass (ask a prison guard) when he went invisible, and probably did so he could kill you if you tried to prevent him from fleeing. It's just stupid. Flawed logic that makes me mad, every time it happens.

And yes I know how to remain undetected, sneak+ muffle + invisibility. When just invisibility is all you should need.

The most annoying thing is that the game has so much potential, yet it has been left untouched on many areas. This is where mods come in, but it'd never be the quality it should've been

When you are brawling somebody and an NPC walks in front of you. You hit them and get a bounty.

Also I was hoping for friendly giants.

When you meet a randomly overpowered mage that kills you in one hit.

Sitting in Whiterun, and hearing Heimskr SCREAMING his Talos babble. The I LOVE YOU part makes me leave Whiterun instantly.

I have to pick just one? Okay, fine... Lack of Creation Kit. If we had that we could fix a lot of the rest. That is probably what I am most annoyed about right now.

I still wonder what mods we could have seen so far if the CK was released with the game at 11.11.11

The continuous lag after using up 10 mb on the ps3, made my main character unbearable. I started again, and will have to repeat when i reach 10 mb again.

This! I wish every RPG would just rip off BioWare* and separate character saves. I mean, really. Just about every third person shooter lifted the awesome camera from RE4.

*BioWare was the first developer I encountered that did this in Mass Effect. Unsure if it was done before.

terrible navigation/layout of items when going through containers.

Like.. that was NO problem in Oblivion, perfect really. Did they just totally forget to sort items in containers - at least in the homes you buy???

*scrolls through non-alphabetical container for 5 minutes trying to find one thing*
