What's the most annoying thing in Skyrim?

That silly "arrow in the knee" phrase that I hear at least 5 times I visit a town.

Another irritating thing is when you've spent a lot of time crafting some epic heavy dragon armor for your companion (even take the time to gather up enchants for them!) and give them a kickass weapon they can use.....And then as SOON as you go to do a dungeon they get killed by bandits. ._.

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention the time when I sprinted past a random man in Windhelm
Spoiler
to murder the butcher,
he says "Hey, watch it", watches as the aforementinoed turns around and attacks me, acts as a witness to our short, ultimately one sided duel, watches the body land on the pavement, then continues about his business, before happening on the dead body and saying "Oh my! What happened here!"

One thing that's been really gnawing at me is the discrepancies between the interiors and exteriors of the buildings. They often just don't match up and it's both annoying and mind boggling. It's the like the artists doing the insides and the artists doing the outsides didn't talk to each other. Solitude is particularly bad about it. Some examples:

The cathedral in Solitude - The exterior has a grand facade with a centered door. Go inside and you'll find that the door is offset to one side and the windows from the facade are missing.

The Hall of the Dead in Solitude - Inside you will see windows that do not exist on the exterior of the building.

The Jarls' houses in the small Hold capitals - On the outside they have three layers. The top centered layer, which has windows, is not represented on the inside. Not only that, but it's made out of stone. The only other part with stone is the foundation. So, what? The wood structure is holding the stone up in the air like that? Only there aren't any structural supports capable of holding up that kind of a load.

There's others as well, but those are they ones that come to my mind right off hand. And if those annoyances seem a bit nitpicky to some, I'll just say this. Architecture is what I do, so yes, I pay close attention to the architecture in the game.

Size of towns outside of Solitude and maybe Riften. They're too small and similar. I like the idea of Markarth, but it's poorly executed. All the other towns are forgettable and generic, not that it's a deal breaker, but it would have been nice.

Whiterun is a complete joke.

The supplementary forums and the people who incessantly whine about the most minor of things annoy me the most. :) Which includes me since I just whined about the whiners :)

How damn gimped magic is in this game.

And how the Dragonplate Helmet has the random black in the front of it, I don't like the appearance of Dragonplate at all really. I use it out of the fact it's amazing, but its appearance annoys the heck out of me.

Horses attacking and Housecarl's in general for me.

Those annoy me, certain bugs make me rage rather just merely annoy but overall those two stand out as two things that make me slightly irritated with Skyrim. Luckily I can by pass both of them.

Maybe dumb NPCs, lack of consequences depending on your actions, children clones, 5 years old animations, 10 years old physics, maybe it's dark brotherhood, or these npcs in the blue palace basemant after finishing stormcloak questline, dumb wife, npcs standing in the way, npcs talking to me even though I'm just walking past them, dragons not attacking me, long never ending dwemer ruins (unless they're cool like this one with big mushrooms)

I don't know which one is most annoying, and I'm sure there's a lot more of it

Draugr. There are way too many of them. Skyrim's population of dead warriors outnumbers living NPCs of all type. I'm level twelve and stats say I've killed 42 people and about 120 Draugr. The last dungeon they threw over a dozen at me in the last room (first Bard's college quest). I'd wasn't even hard as I play on 'apprentice'. Just annoying.

persistent water dripping from tusked fort. Totally ruins my experience. Once got stuck with the elemental fury sound... it was kinda funny, crossing the winterholds glaciers, that persistent sound, annoying but, thinking about how annoying would be a windy walk at miles of glaciers... kinda realistic... until I reached the tundra :-/

update: also the way bethesda behaviors about the bugs... seems like they just don't care.

A big thanks for Quarn and Kivan doing their awesome job cause otherwise the game would be ruined forever.

Most annoying is no buff timers on the main UI.

Seconded. This game desperately needs active effects icons for the HUD. I guess they were left off to make the UI more "immersive", but this adds unneccessary annoyance factor into using spells. :wallbash:

That the game takes 30 days to respawn stuff, hey lets make the memory files bigger by not respawning everything in a timely manner. 10 days would've been fine or 15 but no they went with 30. I understand for balance reasons but it's still annoying. One of the things I loved in Oblivion was just grinding dungeons to get good loot like Rockmilk, loved that cave.

This is another issue I have, this is even more bothersome by the fact that weapons when enemies drop them after you defeat an enemy if you do not pick them up they stay in the world forever and enemies do not respawn, I think the weapons being left on the ground and enemies not respawning might be related in areas where the weapons litter the ground is where the enemies do not respawn. Its also so far only been above the ground in front of dungeons so far. The enemies need to respawn in about two weeks and everything shoulkd be swept from the world and respawn in that time frame as well.

1. Having a level 100 Smithing skill and 100 Heavy Armor skill, but being able to only upgrade Light Armor pieces to Flawless because my Light Armor is level 30 .... I mean honestly, I should able to repair all weapons and armor equally with a 100 Smithing skill, it shouldn't be based on other skill levels ....

2. Followers who don't shut the eff up. I have you as a follower to help me, not for you to yell out your opinion every three seconds. No one cares, shut the fock up.

3. Puzzles are too simple and similar. I want something more interesting than whale/snake/eagle over and over again. Use some other symbols, in other orders, maybe a sliding puzzle on the floor, something.

It's not. It's based on your Smithing perks. They allow you to craft and double the amount you can improve them. So if you didn't take any Light Armor Smithing perks, that is why you can't improve them as much.

Removal of speed & acrobatics, Lack of utility spells, magic that doesn't scale. Mages quest too short and meaningless, companions are a little annoying, not enough dialogue options to role play. Cities are too small. Destruction magic should have damage increased through base perks just like one-handed, two handed and archery.

There is a rock right outside of Whiterun, directly west of the stables about 1000 in-game feet that has really bad placement and I literally can't even go west now b/c I can't stand seeing that rock..... I have to detour north or south for at least 10 minutes of real-time b/c I don't even want to risk seeing it on LOD. It is highly, highly annoying.
