What is the most dangerous enemy in your opinion?

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 6:36 pm

Become ethereal is definitely a lifesaver I am with you on that one.
Unfortunately, being a bit of a noob to the world of RPGs, I mistakenly left my character wide-open to Mages, even now after trying to repair and train past it they still always get one over on me, utilising Become Ethereal was the most useful thing I did in the game. Haven't used it much on my Archery and Mage builds though

Depends on your character.

Arch Warlocks are deadly, especially Electromancers.

Falmer and Chaurus can poison kill even the most hardy warrior. Savior's Hide and/or racial traits help here, but what would really be nice is if Dawnguard introduced some alchemy ingredients that have Resist and Cure poison. (Both on at least one ingredient)

Ancient Dragons are really only dangerous if you have no magical resistance abilities, like Wards or Fire/Frost resistance.

Enemies that should be way more dangerous than they are:

Dwemer Centurions

Giants

Dragon Priests (AI Issues cripple their fighting ability)

Dragons

No wait, a Legendary Torchbug... can't wait to put that in to a jar :ahhh: => vampire lords "the sun! the sun is back!" :chaos:
With those would definitely be the legendary butterfly imagine how that would be.
They already stop you from escaping enemies.
I had one lift me in the air.
They can also stop horses in their tracks.
If they can do all of that imagine the damage a legendary one can cause.:P

The mages are powerful in this game regardless. Obscenely powerful they could easily be considered the most powerful enemies this game offers.
Try to get some gear with magical protection you can loot it or buy it.
If it suits your character build enchant some gear of your own.
There is a shield perk for magical resistance if the shield suits your build.
Wards in restoration help too.
Then their is the magical resistant perks in alteration there is several ways to combat it.
Remember there is no wrong way to create your character you just have to be more careful in certain areas if some things do not suit your build.

Well, I guess it wouldn't be against my character to dabble in enchanting, especially given that it'd make my Dragon Armour all that more powerful. Cheers!

Only thing that's ever outright killed me since level 50 has been an Ancient Dragon, can't say I've ever been stunned by the difficulty of the Dragon Priests and I have all the masks. I may have been killed by traps, or possibly a group of trolls or something but I'd have to say the Dragon is the strongest I've faced.

All the monsters in the game are a little under-rated. Especially with shout powers such as become ethereal and slow time, both make things so much easier.

Really that is interesting.
The mod community is really talented I cannot wait to see what they come up with in the coming years. That is when their best stuff will come out.:)

Draugr Dearthlord

In higher levels, Dragons and Giants are nothing compared to Draugr Deathlords,

They van do a lot I am by no means a modder but I keep an eye on what they do and their imagination is their limit. I am sure they could easier mod in legendary charus right now.

Giants are no problems at higher levels for my twohander.

Dragon priests and some high level mages are though.

Its funny, enemies who are magic users becomes more tougher than melee opponents, in higher levels.

You know what i would make if i were a modding master, i would add a (one) Dwarven Centurion leg to my char... from the knee down.

ice wraiths. not through any power of their own, just usually RP a dependence on the bow (which means, i cant just go up and cut them with a dagger) and they are hard as hell to hit, they take up valuble arrows which could be put to much better use on draugr dathlords of death or mages

Giants. And anything with a two-hander (high level draugrs and bandits alike), since I'm playing with so little armor they can wreck me in one power attack.

But the enemy I had the most problems with in my hundreds of hours of play was definitely that damn Hamelyn, the damn skeever "king".
Faced him 3 times in various playthroughs and had soooo many problems with him every single time.

Well, a Breton Battlemage with the Lord stone makes short work of all the high level wizards.

Around level 30, I'd say groups of falmer can be a challenge and when you come across multiple dragons you have to run.

Its such a powerful build
