What type of followers do you want?

Post » Mon Mar 28, 2011 11:06 pm

For a non- humanoid, I would want a brahmin, or something like it, such as a pack mule, or burro.

For a humanoid, I would want a mid-range guy who is gun-savvy.

With these two companions, I could erect a true caravan empire, and become a true Czar.

A white tiger would be cash.

YES! :D

Although I'd probably be happy with any kind of Siegfried & Roy reference, really.

I want a Nightkin follower named shadow. He should be usefull because of his stealth, but have considerably low health so that he is not over-powered.

So is it confirmed that you can only have one humanoid and one non-humanoid? Because I really want to have both Marcus AND Boone. I would pace myself to make it so I have them as more of a towards end-game type thing though.

have they confrimed marcus as a follower haven't seen him on vault wiki and i think marcus would count as a humaniod cuz hes a SM

I'd just like some followers that weren't complete imbeciles if possible, I swear anytime I try to have a companion in Fallout 3 they run off and get themselves killed like the morons they are.

I remember when one of them only had only their bare fists to fight and chased after a Yao Guai, I'm sure you can probably imagine how that went for my companion. (She ended up with her head getting knocked off)

The player wouldn't be able to have him as a companion... You'd be his companion and only at lvl 30.

i like a human as a comanion or a ghoul. with a dog following me. i loved how fawkes was insanlly strong but i dont really like him because hes a super mutant(i like fawkes for who he is just dont want a super mutant following me because people would shoot and never want to be around him. i highly doubt people wouldnt just act normal if a super mutant came in with a gantling lasor)

The kind that are almost, but not quite, exactly unlike Fallout 3's

* I would prefer NPC's that were personalities on par with the Planescape NPC's, and I wouldn't mind a bit of crossover gameplay where the improvement of NPC's and the PC are concerned.

*We might just get something like this with FO:NV ~But so far I've not seen it mentioned by any Obsidian rep.

I still really want to know how many followers the player can have. For some reason, I remember reading somewhere that you get at least 2 humanoid followers.

On the east cost, the view on Super Mutants would be different then on the west cost. It has been around 120 years since the fall of the master’s army. And even at the height of their power they did not reach all the way out to the Mohave wasteland. So around New Vegas they have only know Super Mutants every bit as individual as humans. In fact, threats from human slavers and raiders would be a much bigger concern then attacks from Super Mutants.
So the a heavily armed Super Mutant walking in to town along side a heavily armed human, would likely evoke the same response as 2 or 3 heavily armed humans.

I want a pre-war Navy SEAL that somehow turned into a ghoul and is still able to do awesome sh*t even though he's 200 years old. For an animal follower I want a deathclaw with one of those enclave mind control helmets on it.

I want Vulpes Inculta as a companion. He's is said to be one of the most elite members of the caesars leigion. He is mentioned in http://bethblog.com/index.php/2010/08/11/behind-the-scenes-the-many-voices-of-new-vegas/ http://bethblog.com/index.php/2010/08/11/behind-the-scenes-the-many-voices-of-new-vegas/

Actually a gecko follower would be fun to have, good idea Gabrieldan. I will pretend he is my animal sidekick (like Space Ghost and that monkey) and it will be awesomely silly.
