Yeah the multiple types of shotguns like some guy said above.
Also:
More pistols, particularly revolvers, I'd love to have a quick shooting wild west revolver, that does more then 2 damage, they don't have to vary that much from models in use, maybe a longer barrel/different color, I'm not picky.
I'd like to see different versions of guns from the real world, Resistance the game had it, when they made an assault rifle that had a feel of it being around WW2. It could still be an M4, or some other rifle, but with elements such as wood, metal instead of black alloys, maybe an older style clip, etc. It should still handle well, after all this is the future, just a different future, and with such a war going on i am sure, they would have made developments in weaponry. I didn't like the assault rifle in fallout 3 because it was a piece of crap, and I am sure the military wouldn't use it in the year 2070 or whatever it was, they would likely have advanced rounds, possibly caseless, a larger clip, etc.
For example, they could take something like http://screenshots.filesnetwork.com/50/news_extra/28969.bestbuy.jpg, change the butt to something like a thompson, wood pistol grip, no led screen, some sort of sight (but more oldschool), and maybe simpler looking metalwork.
A variety of rifles, because I am sure that other than pistols, most guns floating around would be hunting rifles.
More big guns, apparently there are gun dumps all around the US, with weapons from as far back as WW2, slated for destruction, so a browning or MG42 wouldn't be that far fetched (not many obviously). Maybe there could be a variant of the Bren gun, but more advanced, larger clip, that could have been used as the main squad support weapon at the time.
And finally weapons should have damage values respective to the ammunition they are shooting. Why I couldn't kill a fly with a .32 pistol, but could finish FO3 with a .32 hunting rifle beats me. There should be differences based on the weapon (home-made, pistol, rifle, etc) but they shouldn't be huge.
Thats my two cents, can't wait for the game.
