I think it's cool. I always liked Marcus, and always figured the farthest East he went was the Rockies. So it makes sense that he could be in NV since Las Vegas in real life isn't all that far from the Rockies.

I think it's awesome. Whether or not he can join you doesn't matter to me. Just the fact that he's in the game is pure win.

I regret finding out about it. I really wish that they kept that particular detail under wraps, just so his appearance could pleasantly surprise me. :sadvaultboy:

Now I can't help but wonder what other characters will be in the game other then characters seen in Broken Hills. It would be funny if http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Francis_(Fallout_2) turns up in the game as well.

I am very happy he is coming back. Its one of the biggest things I was hoping for.

I am sad, however, that they told us BEFORE it was out. If I hadn't known, then suddenly while exploring, I found him, that would have been awesome.

I needed a SPOILER ALERT on that one. (Although I still would have loooked at it, I have no willpower when it comes to spoilers but often get mad that I looked)

But seriously, I like the idea of the Marcus cameo, and I'm really curious to see how he has changed in the years after Fallout 2 and the details about Jacobstown.
Hopefully they've done him justice.

Yeah I'm real happy to see him back but I will be disappointed if I don't find out what actually happened to Jacob.
Was always something that irritated me in fallout 2.

No info on it. He would be super old. Believe it or not west coast super mutants do age. If he was a follower I hope he says "I am getting to old for this crap."

"In Summer of 2185, at high noon, Jacob and Marcus." FO2 takes place in the year 2241 New Vegas takes place 2280. So around 39 years since FO2 but first mention of Jacob and Marcus is 2185 so that makes Marcus at least 95 years old. My math maybe a little off. Clearly he's alot older then that.

I'm very happy he's back. He was a very compelling character in Fallout 2 and I hope he has much to say about The Wasteland due to having a very long life and many experiences being a co-founder of a town. On that note I wonder what happened to Broken Hills?

Predictable, but welcome.

Mr. Dorns return was not so expected, and is welcome indeed.

The thing to think about with these "ancient" NPC's, is that in all this time nothing has been able to kill them, and they've been adventuring for years (read MAX level).
So IMO all of the still living supermutants should be tougher than FO3's Reavers/ and or Albinos (including Marcus); and Marcus should look on the PC practically as a child.

Maybe an escort mission where he helps you out in a tough fight, but to leave his home as a regular follower... Your PC should be able to hold their own against him.

i think marcus would be a companion...... maybe you have to do a quest where you have to save him from this super mutant town... on a mountain, after hes says you remind him of an old friend....
