What do you do with dead bodies?

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 8:49 am

If they're nearby a firepit/forge I like to drop their bodies into the fire. One time I dropped a hunters body off a mountain and watched it bounce all the way down, it was pretty damn funny.

I like to dump them in the river and watch them float away..what do you guys do?

I started out doing that, then got annoyed when the current didn't actually follow the stream, but just floated them into the nearest bank...

Being both a newb, and a TES newb I did not know you could manipulate corpses until a quest gently recommended such.. discresion. I forgot about it right after, until days later. I was attempting a very clean stealth clearout, and a pesky patrol happened across a recent kill of mine, and muttered aloud "I'm going to find whoever did this".

note to self: hide the bodies.

I usually leave them like they died.

However, notable exception: with one character I decided to kill both Nazeem and the guy who says "I work for Belethor..." at the same time, proceeded with bribing the gards (Thieves Guild) and then dragged both bodies on top of the well in the middle of the marketplace, as a reminder to the other townfolk not to bother me with their annoying one liners.

It was hilarious watching the NPCs noticing the bodies on the well and listening to their comments.

All the fun stuff of piling up then scattering with a fireball, sometimes leaving where they fall and others.....

Probably a law against some of what happens heheheheh.

Dead npc's
Those who've been dead for a good while: I leave them be, unless there's something special about their deaths, then I lay a flower on the body.

Nice touch. Which reminds me, after I killed Nazeem his wife sent hired thugs after me, I killed the thugs, took their contract, went back to Whiterun, executed Nazeem's wife in plain sight of everyone, paid the guards, then put the contract on Nazeem's wife, as a reminder for folks to not hire thugs after me.

I've been thug-free since. ;-)

I tend to kinda roleplay so it may sound weird...

I usually just loot and leave the body, but sometimes I`ll...

1. If a guy gives me a particularly hard time, I`ll just look at his face and think," Looks like it was you who fell down and bled to death, buddy!"
2. If like an annoying archer or mage who i finally got to and they`re on a bridge, I drop them over with a "BYE!"
3. If it`s like some really crazy woman barbarian that gives me a hard time, I`ll look at her still face and think, "How did you come to this?" then drop her off a bridge!
4. If I chop a guy`s head off I usually think, "That`s one way to get ahead, m8!"

I drop them on the nearest fire and watch as they completely fail to burn.

Good thread. I like dumping the bodies in bodies of water, too. I threw a ton of em into the ocean, including Frost, since he died so pathetically. Killed by a horker.

I usually just leave them where they fell.

If it's fallen Stormcloaks I find, I like to line them up in respectable positions so that a patrol etc etc would come through at see.
If I kill someone on the road, I drag their body off the road and into a bush, or behind a rock/tree.

I also drop the thief bodies into the water in Riften. And if they continue to not disappear that canol's going to be completely filled.
If they're near the top of a tower I drop them the rest of the way over.
In White River Watch I piled all the bodies in the wolf cage and put the dead wolf on top of them. (I have no idea why. It just seemed like a good idea at the time.) The only exception was the bandit leader, I had him follow me around groaning for 60 seconds. I do love my zombie slaves...

I loot them then leave them.

If a companion dies that i liked then i normally line the body up with his/her weapon placed across the body in honour of them.

When i first met one of the random roaming Orcs, i found him a good challenge at early levels and died twice before i was able to kill him. Because he put up such a great fight, i dragged his body off the road into the grass/snow and placed his axe beside him. I never looted his gold or anything.

If they're out in the open or on a path, I usually drag them behind a tree or something. If they're near a river, I drag them in the river.

That's pretty great. Now I know how to store my dead thralls (the ones that don't up and disappear on me anyway).

You can't post links because you just joined and haven't made (I think it was at least) 10 posts.

If they are someone annoying I like to 'raise the dead' and parade them around the nearest town. If they are Thalmor I steal all their clothes and drag them into the middle of the road. If they are someone I know and it's out in the bush then I'll generally drag them next to a rock or under a tree.

I haven't been able to do anything about the dead Hargraven that follows me around in fast travel though...it just sort of drops at my feet.
