What do you do on your lunch hour?

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 8:17 pm

So I nap in the sun. although I am thinking about doing push ups since I can't really do any thing I would like to, so I may as well utilize that time to start exercising like I have been meaning to.

I used to listen to pod casts until my ipod got soaked in water in my backpack while i was working, so I don't bring it to work any more.

what do other people do?

Usually I work through it, I'll probably start slacking off on the forums though.

Play pool. Sometimes I win sometimes he wins.

Which means we are either both as good as each other or as bad as each other :whistling:

After eating, it's typically to the internet for a slacking session including some forums and some browsing on sites akin to DamnYouAutoCorrect and Failbook.

Pretty much just eat luch, most of the time I eat with my co workers. Sometimes I'll eat at my desk if I have lunch late/early.

We are free to go to the chow room for lunch, but it svcks.

Usually I just go to one of the restaurants on the base.

I'm in the Marines by the way, no real designated "lunch break".

Considering I'm school, one of the day's five 80 minute periods is split in half with half being for lunch and the other being an activity period to either slack off, take a half-period class (usually something musical), or to use for studying. Technically, I could just forget about the activity period and spend the entire time in lunch, instead, or I could forget about lunch and spend 80 minutes slacking off and doing nothing. These past two years, I had reserved the activity period for choir, but this year, as in my first year of high school, I have a free activity period which I intend to spend in the library. I'll do a combination of homework, reading/checking out some books, and coming to these forums via the library's computers. Occasionally, I'll use the activity period time (and possibly my lunch time, as well) to go see a teacher about something or, if I'm sick on one day, to make up a quiz/test. Most of the time I'll keep the two half-periods separate, but sometimes, I might just spend the whole period in lunch or the other way around. Basically... FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!

I eat a very light lunch and then take a brisk walk for 30 minutes. Keeps my mind clear for the afternoon. If I eat a heavy lunch and sit around I end up feeling sleepy about 3PM.

I'm in school and have only 30 minutes for lunch. I don't have time for anything other than buying food and eating it.
