one dwemer ruin which locks you in a cage, then starts scanning you with a glowing orb... I wont spoil what happens after that.

dead on dude. scariest part so far. was like "fffff what did i get myself into now" and looking around for a way out and expecting everything but that what happened

Mine was definately my first encounter with a wolf.. I heard the cry, but I was startled badly when it attacked from behind.. I guess I was so used to Oblivions music immidiately changing when going in to a fight!

Fast traveled somewhere and I turn into a werewolf automatically (because of a ring I had I think), immidiatly a dragon starts attacking, I'm running around panicking trying to figure out how to change back to human form and in the meantime, I kill my companion by mistake. Then mammoths charge in my direction and I'm thinking, what else can go wrong now? Mammoths run right past me and kill the dragon... while I'm laughing, a giant comes from behind and clubs me into orbit.

Reloaded, fast traveled back to the same location and... nothing.

turning around to see a unexpected enemy or ally. the game has no way to detect humans who creep in behind you

My experience was actually more terrifying that it sounds.
I was riding down a river, through the rapids and all that on my backside when I reached the bottom with a giant grin on my face. Suddenly, a shadow flashes over me followed by a tremendous roar. A dragon swooped down, and immediately started to pummel me. At this point, I was stuck in the current and was frantically making for the shore. Needless to day, I was pretty much a sitting duck!

The other day I was fighting a dragon in some kind of fort, and I saw it dive down head first into the ground some distance away, so I went running toward the arch-way out of the fort to go finish him off when all of a sudden he came crashing through the arch-way straight at me, scared the sh*t out of me.

I thought the abandoned house was creepy but pretty cool
Hearing a bear roar right next to me in the middle of a forest scared the crap out of me, while i was spinning in circles i heard another roar directly behind me, i turned around to see a huge cave bear towering over me with its claw swinging towards my face. i didnt stand a chance

That house in Markarth, it was scary all the way, and then when your "reward" happens (I don't want to spoil anything), I was like WTF?! how to get out of here?!?!?! Scared the hell out of me.

you have to go into that cave after the Werewolf... That was the first time i encountered a Werewolf and i was creeped all along before i've actually found the Werewolf guy...

The first time I did a Dwemer ruin. For some reason, the stories of the Dwemer had always creeped me out, and the dungeon was no exception. Those spiders and junk. WHY? Why would you want to live with those things? And the first time I saw a centurion, which stood up and attacked me, I yelled out in real life, "OH MY GOD I AM GONNA DIE." And I did.

Ugh. Actually, that would be my scariest encounter. I got trapped in a crevice near Windhelm with one of those damned creatures! There were many screams, and much weeping. All of it was mine. *chokes back a sob*

I was in a dungeon when I picked up on a scurrying noise. As I was playing with my AKGs I stopped and tried to zero in on what direction it was coming from, just as I nailed the direction, the blasted skeever leapt at my face and filled my screen. I almost fell off the bed, the weakest enemy in the game nearly damaged me IRL. :facepalm:

1.Tolvald cave.2.Molag Bal quest.3.The dwemer ruin part in the main quest.

Doing the quest where you need to look heads off hargravens in a very dark cave. I looted one of the beasts and moved around the corner to see if there was anything hidden, there was not. So I turn around the way I came and right infront of me is a floating, decapitated hargraven in the crucified position. Take this on with me just recently seeing Paranormal Activity 3, I had to save that quest for later.

House of Horrors quest or this one time I was level 5, going through Mount Anthor. That dragon maybe not be strong but I had zero potions and like no good weapons/armor.

My first giant experience. I was about level 4 and happened to see two giants. Since Todd Howard walked beside them in the trailer, I thought I could come close, but when I did, that [censored] started chasing me down the fields of Whiterun. I was so freaked out because I had no stamina left.

P.S. He killed me in one blow

That I was in a dark cave and I heard those Frostbite Spiders, but I didn't see 'em.
'Till I turned my character around and a Giant Frostbite Spider filled my entire TV screen, and I nearly had a black out...
