THAT DAMN HOUSE IN MARKARTH!
The one with Molag Bal? Yeah, I about [censored] bricks.

That, and looking up at the ceiling to see a giant Frostbite spider lowering itself down onto me. Gah.

And for some reason, being in the very Northern fringes of the map scares me...IDK what it is about it, but being alone out where it's just floating ice sheets makes me feel like I'm about to get attacked by something from below. Are there any underwater enemies besides slaughterfish?

I was in some dungeon hunting some quasi-ethereal guy. I backed around a corner to recover a little, then I heard a noise behind me. I spun around and there he was! I almost [censored] my pants lol

I was in a cave, labrynthian I believe, with my lights off and the volume turned up and all of the sudden a cave troll jumped out of the shadows and growled right next to me... I was expecting bandits not trolls haha

Stealing the shout off of krosis' wall, then running like mad to get away from the dragon because i ran out of arrows. They chased me a good few miles only stopping when i sacrificed some kind of large campsite by running through it.

Geimund, dear god. I was not expecting the horror that awoke at the end of the dungeon. At. All. I was talking to my friend over XBL at the time and he was treated to a sudden and loud burst of profanities.

Exploring the woods, stumbled upon a small cove and was suddenly surrounded by four cave bears, a saber cat, and two spriggans. NOPE.

Fighting a conjurer (damn you and your icicle flinging ways!), suddenly my entire screen filled with fire accompanied by a loud roar. A dragon had appeared with no prior warning, no distant roars, no second red dot. Just fire everywhere.

Lightning traps in Saarthal.

I was playing at night, no TV on (usually have that on), headset. Wasn't really expecting anything there.
Nearly had a heart attack.

I never think I've jumped so high in my life on those lightning traps. I also said some words which I will not repeat on this forum.

THAT DAMN HOUSE IN MARKARTH!

Pretty much sums it up, made me instantly reload last save so I wouldn't need to do it. :D

I was in Blackreach, and had just exited the Reeking Tower onto a balcony. The second the loading screen faded, a spider was mid-pounce at me, fangs opened.

I still killed it, but I about near crapped myself.

Edit: Oh yeah, the first part of House of Horrors. That Daedra is terrifying.

Dwemer ruins have an eerie atmosphere, too. They make me kind of unnerved and wary.

Any Dwemer ruins creeped me out, they wre horrific, and the first time I saw a centurian I thought it was just an admirable statue, then it punched me into the floor like a Giant in Dwarven armour!

And the obandoned prison was pretty scary too, I loved how there was no quest for it, that I know of, but it still had a vague story, and another scary thing is the throat slit animation when wearing a dragon priest mask, it just looks so eerie!

When a naked courier ran up to me and told me that he had an important package to deliver to me, my hands only. My character is now mentally scarred for two reasons, being sixually harassed, and killing a man with his bare fists until he was dead... there was A LOT of blood.

dead on dude. scariest part so far. was like "fffff what did i get myself into now" and looking around for a way out and expecting everything but that what happened

Indeed. I remember thinking "What do I do now?" followed by a verbal "OH [censored]!"

Definitely one of my favorite dungeons just because of that part.

This as well. It's an age old phobia of mine in games. Deep dark water scares me more than anything else for some reason. In all of the games I've played, even ones where I know I'm absolutely safe in the water and that nothing is down there, I can't help but feel like it is going to drag me down.

Gotta be the damn lightning traps. My first time coming on one of them, it was the middle of the night, and I was playing with the sound up and all the lights in the room off, and I saw this pretty glowing symbol on the ground. So I walk up to it, and all of a sudden the damn thing explodes right in my face. I jumped about 10 feet in the air, and I'm pretty sure I screamed, too. Almost gave myself a heart-attack.

I was doing the quest for the beggar in Solitude to find his helmet. It was located in a small cave/barrow which was spanned by a long bridge with a huge drop to a lake below. I had just finished and was exiting the cave when I noticed there was another cave entrance just down the hill.

I enter, kill a few wolves, and realize this is a cave that leads to that lake. I enter the water-filled tunnel that leads to the lake and keep swimming. I reached the end of the tunnel when I noticed it drops down to a depth that I can't see.

Just as I began to swim out, a thought entered my mind. Why is there a huge lake in the middle of a cave? At that very moment I was expecting some sort of sea monster to pop out and eat me. I began to frantically swim back up the tunnel, and I decided to leave the cave without finding out what was at the bottom of that lake.

THAT DAMN HOUSE IN MARKARTH!

Yeah, I [censored] myself first time I heard that.
Huge spiders falling out of the celling.. ugh
And those bloody foxes....The amount of times I've heard something unnerving behind me, spun around thinking it's something else pursuing me. -One day Mr Fox, I know you're laughing at me.

EASY....

When I was told to hide in my revered Dark Lady's tomb,... in an attempt to discover any intrigue.

I ahead realised something spooky was about to happen....dunno why.... ... ... ... but when she lit up,... it still spooked me towards an heart attack.
