Where in Skyrim do you live if Skyrim was real life compared

Windhelm though a flat one at that. Strong winds, old buildings but flat, flat, flat and below sea-level.
Why the hell do I live here?! Oh yeah right I got married to a Dutch person.

Probably Whiterun. That's the closest I can think of, but it's a really bad comparison tbh.

Let's see, rural bordering on desolate, snowy, pine and fir forests and a lake, sloped terrain. Somewhere south-west of Windhelm, I'd say. Thankfully, the rural population is less prone to be brigands and the werewolf problem is almost contained now.

Lucky You. My ancestors left The Netherlands for Rensselaer Colony, New Amsterdam (now the whereabouts of Albany, NY) in search of... who knows what.

I'd rather be a European right about now. At least if I broke my leg, I wouldn't go bankrupt.

The Ratway.

No, not really. Misty and humid, it has to be Falkreath.

Probably. but I find Massachusetts far less diverse as far as deciduous growth goes than Michigan.

Maybe it's sentimental remembrances... but I've been up to Porcupine Mountain State Forest way over in the western UP of Michigan and personally seen Birch trees with 3 foot wide trunks. Some of the very last virgin hardwood forest that exists in the US.

I'd advise anyone to travel there and see it. It's one of a kind in the world. And it's right next to another one of a kind world exhibit: Lake Superior.
