Where in Skyrim do you live if Skyrim was real life compared

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 4:40 am

Where in Skyrim would you live if Skyrim was real life? I know alot of people who are close to the equator or south of it, is summer time so wouldn't really be in Skyrim then. For me living in Canada, and being mild right now, we had some snow but it melted and it's mostly browns, so I would say I live around Whiterun, where it's cold, but no snow on the ground and you can see some green but mostly brown.

So how about you guys and gals? If Skyrim was real life and you compare it to where you live, where would you be living?

The Rat Way...
No Davor, I live just west of you in Metro Detroit so the weather is about the same here, so yeah, Whiterun.

Oh wait ! Metro Detroit = Rat Way !

Probably Ivarstead. (Big mountains, a lake, some snow.)

Not anywhere in Skyrim. More like Anvil. It's still 78 Farenheit here and is supposed to warm up over the weekend. I am going up to Wisconsin on vacation though, should at least cold there if not snowing.

I'd say my region is very similar to Whiterun's. Almost identical, actually. With a bit of Riverholdwood mixed in.

Falkreath, besides the occasional homicidal werewolf it seems like a pretty quiet area and I'm from the Pacific Northwest of the U.S.A. so it seems okay climate wise to me.

I live in the Capital of Canada, but there's been little snow. I'd say it'd be either Solitude, Whiterun or Riften. Not sure which of those three though. There's a case for each.

In North Carolina, so I'd say... Falkreath. Mostly pine forest, not too cold.

I live in IRL's Colovia, although I'd prefer to live in Skyrim or Valenwood, were I to live in Tamriel.

I'd rather the next Dragon Age take it's cue from Origins. The open world thing is great when done right, but that means doing it big... ridiculously big. Considering how "streamlined" DA2 was, the "big" required is likely "too big" for for them at this point. I'd be surprised if Bioware/EA can muster anything bigger than Divinity 2: DKS. Even if they get as big as Sacred 2, it will probably feel more like Sacred 2 than TES:V.

Good sir, I think you may be in the wrong thread.

Markarth or Riften. It's rainy, cold but still grassy, etc,

Probably the Closest is somewhere between Falkreath and Whiterun. Sorta flat, but still quite green - except warm (considering it's currently summer, as well).

But out of Tamriel, it would be the Nibenay Basin.

No snow, no ice, no cold winds, NO cold weather.

Getting too old - 64 - for that stuff. I'll take something like Florida or further south lol.
