No point in making this poll.

Don't rain on the party! Of course Skyrim will win this poll, but the poll lets people know which games also attract Skyrim gamers. There is something about Balder's Gate, or Dragon Age Origins that makes it appealing, but I don't know what.

Wait wut?

Dragon Age: Origins still has the best story, characters, setting, lore, dialogue, relationships and overall depth that I have ever experienced in a game. That's my opinion, some other people agree. It is one of the greatest games ever made and the main reason why there is a lot of hate towards Dragon Age 2 was because it wasn't nearly as good as Origins. Dragon Age 2 wasn't actually a bad game, the combat was improved, the graphics were improved, the dialogue is still amazing, the characters are still really interesting and I enjoyed it, but the two just don't compare.


This is the community section, we aren't all Skyrim gamer's. Play Dragon Age: Origins or play Balder's Gate and you may find out what is so appealing about them. If I know anything about Bioware it's that while Bethesda may make a better sandbox, Bioware makes much more interesting stories, characters, settings, lore, dialogue, relationships and generally give a lot more depth.

Red Dead Redemption is mindblowingly good. I've never felt so heartbroken at the end of a story.

I don't even like Rockstar. I love RDR.

I wish we could have both: I find Bioware's lack of free-roaming to often be frustrating; but I found Skyrim in particular to have shallow characters and frankly very dull quest lines. God, I'm starting to sound like one of those old Morrowind fans. :laugh:

Bioware and Bethesda could definitely learn a lot from each other.

Note: From what I've seen one the TES forms, Morrowind fans seem to be very similar to Fallout 1 and 2 fans.

True. And Gothic 1 & 2 fans. I'm the odd one out because I really enjoyed Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Gothic 3; but it seems I'm finally getting a bit jaded. Okay, more jaded.

My favourites out of that pull is Skyrim, RDR and DA 2. Yes, I'm one of those who absolutelyl love DA 2. The DA-series is my second favourite gaming series, TES of course being number one.

Maybe if these games were more like each other. For example, the only thing linking Skyrim and RDR are their open worlds.

The poll is stupid, because we already know the answer based on who is being asked..

Fallout: New Vegas

Since that poll doesn't have Morrowind on it, I could only choose Skyrim.

Voted for New Vegas. I love Skyrim to death, but something about New Vegas just rocks my socks off, and I will probably play it longer. Still love Skyrim though, and have already put in a good 75 hours.

I have been enjoying F:NV and Skyrim. Also may I ask why Fable III is on there that game was just horrible.

With New Vegas up there I consider it more like asking between Zelda and Mario on the Nintendo Boards or or asking between Dragon Age: Origins or Mass Effect 2 on the Bioware boards. I haven't even played Skyrim yet. Playing week one New Vegas has made me very cautious about Bethesda's games.

Because not everyone thinks the same? If they did, there'd be no reason to have a poll in the first place...

We should just make Skyrim the only option. YOU WILL LIKE THIS GAME.

balder's gate looks like a winner. they should make a balder's gate 3, given people have so many good memories of it; since dragon age 2 screwed up any likelihood for fans of the series.

Some odd choices that bias the poll. BG should be BG2, DA2 should be DAO. It would be interesting to add Planescape because it might shake things up a little, though most voters probably haven't played it.
