Well, I'm the most dangerous in the wasteland, since we are demi-gods of course. But the only one that sometimes kills me is the Deathclaw.

oh. Cazadors. i HATE those with a passion. they always are in huge groups of like 7+ for me and poison me most of the time and they are a pain to kill, and i never use VATS, so that makes it harder. I haven't encountered any deathclaws yet, only one i saw was a young one and i sneak attack crit. killed him with an AMR

most of the time yound death claws are with are with at lest 1 big one you must have been just lucky.

I think Cazandor's piss me off so much because they are all over! unlike death claws.

Well, I've never died in Fallout New Vegas but I think Deathclaws are the overall worst thing to fight in New Vegas.

Deathclaws are more dangerous, Cazador have lower armor and HP so you can strip their wings off pretty fast with a shotgun and mop them up. Deathclaws are just nasty, you need a very high-level weapon to puncture their armor and they have some dangerous attacks, they close fast too.

The reason Cazador kill me more often is that Deathclaws are limited to one small area, unless you're going cave crawling in their dens anyway. Cazador are more likely to catch me unprepared. If I'm going anywhere near Sloan I'm coming prepared, I'm crossing open ground at night sneaking, with ED-E along to let me spot them, 20 plasma mines in my pocket and AP ammo loaded.

But Cazador show up in most of the fringe areas of the map, and they're harder to spot until they're all over you. They also love to come in big swarms that quickly stack up nasty amounts of poison on you. Nothing svcks more than coming out of a fight alive with no possible way to survive thanks to the venom coursing through your veins.

But as to what kills me the most? It's most certainly the Cazadores. Almost always in large groups, and even if you engage from a distance, they close on you before you know it. I've yet to find a weapon that effectively puts them down quickly, without taking too much damage myself. Close, but not there yet.

Hunting Shotgun (repaired past the indent) combined with Shotgun Surgeon (which probably isn't necessary as I don't think they have armor). Even at 50 guns, it's only 2-3 shots to put one down. Alternately the 10mm SMG is a good choice. Hunting Rifle is good for the initial sneak attack and maybe 1-2 follow-up shots at max range - just be careful not to hit their buddies or you'll get multiple inbound. But the Hunting Shotgun just has wonderful iron sights, a good punch, and a lovely boom.

So i when't Death Claw hunting last night and was picking them off easily with the hunting rifle. but i think i was because it was in a very open area all most flat. One got the drop on me when i when't in to search the body's and killed ED-E and Boone he all most got me.

So yea finall conclusion is death claws are the hardest to kill because the area's you find them in, they are usually always in packs of 3 or more, and even at level 30 I still have alot of troubles killing them (mainly because i didnt pick a single perk that increases my dmg resistance) i use the Enclave armor, i found the helm in a cave and the armor at 1 deathclaw camp, i think its the highest Dmg resist item in the game and i still get pwned...

Deathclaws negate armour, hence the Deathclaw Gauntlet. Why they are so nasty what every gear you show up in. Best killed from afar with a single sniper headshot.

Even though Deathclaws aren't that hard to kill (as long as you snipe them from a distance with a good DAM weapon and some AP ammo, that is :P), they scare me more than anything else in the Wasteland. Let me tell you a story from a couple of nights ago...

I was finishing up the quest "Volare!" and I was on my way to Lake Mead from the north. On the way, I passed through a train yard of some kind where I had previously I had come across a whole bunch of Deathclaws. I wasn't strong enough to reliably kill them at that time (my attempt to get through resulted in a showdown with a fully-grown Deathclaw who took out ED-E and Veronica, and I only had one tiny sliver of HP left when I finally killed it), so I retreated and came back last night... no Deathclaws in sight. As I was progressing, I found that Veronica had completely vanished, so I went back to see if she had gotten stuck somewhere... to find that I was surrounded by Deathclaws. Thankfully none of them noticed me and I sniped them safely, but that [censored] was scary. (Especially since it happened at night.)

Yep , it's definitely viable against deathclaws, I was bored at one point so I crippled its legs and tried 10 mm SMG against its 30 DT and 500 health . After only 3 mins , it was dead. Such a good tactic.

I have problems against nightstalker packs, especially the one with legendary nighstalker.

Cazadores seem to always sneak up and maim me, they're more common in my experience than deathclaws are as well. Their poison is brutal and they travel in groups so they're the most dangerous in my opinion, the game generally gives you warning before you run into a nest of deathclaws so I'm prepared, when I run into a group of cazadores I'm never ready and usually get hurt badly.

Cazadores have zero DT, mature deathclaws (all variants, including alpha/mother) have 15 DT. So a shotgun with slug ammo and Shotgun Surgeon (to subtract 10 DT) should work well. But regular shotgun ammo won't.

Regular shotgun ammo works well against the Cazadores though, as they have no DT. (Nor do ants... you'd think all insects would have at least 2-3 DT.)

Actually, this is what I've been doing as of late. Hunting shotgun or the 10mm SMG (TONS of 10mm guns and 10mm ammo in Vault 34) for close up. I usually try and snipe out their wings first, to get them down. And then just the shotgun or the 10mm while backpedaling. Works until you backpedal into a rock/wall.

I can see why cazadors dont have armor, but the Ants, they have an exoskeleton and if they are that big it should give them a good amount of armor imo

Not sure yet - haven't run into any cazadores, except for a few young ones that were straightforward to kill at level 10+ when I met them.

I tried (just for a laugh, obviously) to take on some Deathclaws at level 6ish with pimped out Varmint Rifle+ and AP ammo, up Sloan way (no spoilers).
Being forewarned of how tough Deathclaws were in NV I came prepared, chem-ed up to the eyeballs, wearing my nice shiny newly-acquired space suit and helmet...
I had Ed-E and Boone with me as backup... parked them back the road a bit to negate Ed-E's tendencey to rush to the scene of his death...
snuck forward and took a few looooong shots at a deathclaw, backing away towards Boone and co for some help as the deathclaw noticed the irritation and started to move my direction...

Mistake. Big mistake.

He was on me in seconds, barely scratched by my sneak critical, and promptly ripped my head off.
As I lay dying in the road I could hear Ed-E and Boone gamely attempting to avenge me, to no avail.

I haven't been back since. Deathclaws are baaaad news, wastelanders.

Wow, thats wierd, I've never been killed by a Cazador. Plenty of Death Claw deaths in the quarry though. Seriously though, I am the most feared thing. :intergalactic:
