Whos the Deadliest Warrior?

Jesus Christo, you really haven't been paying attention at all, have you? Power Armor DOES NOT, for the third and hopefully final time, IN ANY WAY HINDER ANY OF THE USERS MOVEMENT OR MOBILITY, IT DOES QUITE THE OPPOSITE, IN FACT.

Writing in all caps does not make you right. The armor is heavy, and it is metal. And judging by the agility penalties and indicated by http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090720103026/fallout/images/thumb/5/56/Winterized_T-51b.png/374px-Winterized_T-51b.png of the suit, power armor does inhibit movement. Please, cite some data to the contrary.

Because they, both stats wise and lore wise, are characterized as shrewd tacticians and stealth specialists. Paladins on the other hand are walking around in heavy, metal, armor.

As someone already mentioned. Power armor does not hinder your movement due to the servos used to augment your actions. The armor only becomes "heavy as a brahmin" when you rip out the servos and stick it on someone who doesn't have the power armor training required to be able to use the armor (aka Heavy NCR Troopers with their Salvaged "power armor" which technically isn't power armor anymore because it doesn't require any training to use).

If the Paladin has no arms or legs, then yes: the Vet Ranger wins every time.

That's not to say that there is an anti-gravity generator inside the suit. Ignoring motion hindering or lack thereof, the armor is still heavy and would obviously be less useful in the case of a sneak attack.

Play Fallout 1, talk to the non-named BoS guard at the entrance of Lost Hills, I'm not going to digging around for his dialogue.

There's an AGI penalty because the bulky nature of the armor may inhibit your ability to touch your toes or do splits, yes. However, it is completely impossible for power armor to slow its user down, because it is powered and thus it supports its own weight.

If you want proof, though, and won't accept stats from the original games? Go look at Enclave Power Armor. It has zero AGI penalty. None whatsoever. And that's because it's powered body armor. Same for T-51b. It's just bulkier and so inhibits full body motion a bit, I'd imagine, but running speed and so forth? No way.

I mean straight up confrontation between a Paladin and an NCR Ranger the paladin will normally win but if you alter the situation I can see the Veteran rangers winning occasionally too.
For example give an ambush with the Rangers on high ground shooting down with AMR and AP rounds there is a possibility of the Paladins being defeated.

No, you are wrong. It doesn't hinder mobility at all. Whatsoever. Underwear hinders your mobility more than Power Armor.

Depends on the context. If they just started in an arena, the BoS Paladin easily. But if it became more tactical, like a man-hunt, the Vet Ranger would have the edge.

I think a centurion vs. a BoS paladin would be more interesting.

T51B had no AGI penalty in the originals, and we were expressly told that it did not hinder movement at all, it was nothing short of an extension of the body, and as such is no more of a bulky hindrance than your own body, so yes, underwear DOES in fact hinder you more than Power Armor :spotted owl:

That's mobility. A man in giant, heavy, metal armor (powered or not) cannot sneak or move around in the same way a man in jeans and a trench coat can. Especially when the man in jeans and a trench coat is better known for his skills with guns and stealth.

No. A Paladin would win no matter what. It's in the lore.

And with that stunningly ridiculous statement, I leave this thread shaking my head, and start my game to release my inner rage on Brotherhood Paladins.

Yes, in lore the paladin could take 10 of them, but it was proven that the ranger would win a 5v5 match with around 2-3 left, so one on one id unfortunately have to go with the ranger

So, form-fitting, elastic, underwear hinders movement more than a giant, not form-fitting, not elastic, piece of metal armor.
Please, tell me where in the Fallout Bible, such a ludicrous assertion is made.

No more ridiculous than your incredibly demeaning and exaggerated summations of the opposing positions arguments, good sir.

That last part wasn't to be taken seriously, guys, hence the spotted owl

The t51b didn t give -agility in fo3 either.

Im not sure if a shot from a .50 would go through the pa. He d have to shot it in like the same place like 3 times.

The ranger has 1 weapon that can kill the Paladin, but the Paladin has 3 weapons that will kill a vet ranger in lore.

A 45/70 isn t going to get it done, and you do not want to go at a guy in powered armor with a combat knife. He will twist your head off.... and laugh at the combat knife.

In game, if the three Vet Rangers are on high ground with AMR's and AP rounds, then that lone Paladin is going down. But 1 on 1, the Paladin is the victor.
