So why are Skyrim's storylines so banol?

The problem with only catering to your long time fans is that they continually expect more and more from the series, if you're not convincing new customer to buy the product, then you would be hemorhaging money because, guess what you just spent a massive amount of money on making the game but there's still only the same number of people buying it as back when they were making daggerfall for a fraction of the cost.

Exactly.

Then add on to the fact that long term fans will never completely agree with what should be in the game anyway. Game developers need to mix things up to keep things from getting stale. They also need new players to keep making the games a worthy investment, some of the things older fans loved will always be lost, but that is inevitable with every game/TV/book series.

I have deleted some posts. The two of you who lost them please take the "discussion" to PM and stay out of this thread, I don't want to see things getting personal.

Reason why alot of peoe comain is necause thats the only way we see to let Bethesda know. Right now, they have our money and since we cant get our money back, Bethesda takes it as we are happy on the sole fact so many people bought it. The main reason why skyrim is more successful than morrowind is multiple reasons. When morrowind came out its was a series that ws only on computer before and it came out on xbox as well. It didnt have a history to console gamers, but after oblivion and the fallouts it had been building more and more reconition. Hell ill go on the line and say most of the people who bought the game was going off past experiences and or someone told them of last experiences of the series and thats why they bought it. If morrowind had the same reconition, we have alot more hate on here and most likely a better game.

Hell dragon age origins was a [censored] huge success and seing how they changed do2 and people bood it afterwards.says alot about the mass market. I really wish Bethesda actually had an official poll of how many people liked the game and their reasons why and why not. But they wont because all they see is the dollar signs from the beginning.

That would be awesome if someone did creat that poll though.

I'm dieing to play dragon age origins cause i liked dragon age2, i think i will love it (yes, repetitive scenarios impair the gameplay, but the story, choices, characters and politics are great). I'm playing skyrim since december, having a lot of fun, as I had with morrowind and oblivion. Maybe if people stop thinking about conspiracy theories and all that, they will just play and enjoy games. I really dont get how can a game cause so much anger.
