When I first became a Werewolf I was kinda "Meh" about it. Then I used it to clear out a few dungeons and eat a bunch of face and now I love it :3

I'm a nord. Rather go to Sovngarde then hunt with Hircine. Actually I just cured myself as soon as I could, just didn't use it and while might have been cool still felt like I could do without it

Roleplaying reasons for me not being one so far. When I do become one it will be with a character I design for it, same with Vamperism.

Didn't want to be a werewolf out of choice just like I stayed out of the civil war or not becoming a vampire.Just didn't fit my roleplaying.Though I've done some pretty nasty things in the game for certain Daedra such as in House of Horrors..

I hate being human. I am tired of having human protagonists in the game, sick and tired of it, it makes me sick. Elder Scrolls allows me to be a blood-svcking creature or man/woman who turns into a wolf and to devour people!

I am a werewolf because they are superior than humans. I rather devour entrails and kill people in the Hunting Grounds than drink mead and belch like a fat lard in Sovngarde.

Being a werewolf is really fun, but my character wants to go to Sovngarde when she dies.

I was totally psyched about becoming a werewolf in a video game. I've always felt they were underrepresented. Anyway there really is no down side to being a werewolf, you can use it when you want or don't. You could be a werewolf the entire game and never use it.

The one thing that I had to get used to was when to use it. It's not a power that you can use in the middle of fight, about to die and need that extra kick to overcome the odds. You pretty much need to use it before the battle or get stomped on during the lengthy, but AWESOME, transformation. I was sold when I was able to use it to kill two Spriggan matrons, three cave bears and a sabre cat in one transformation. That was epic.

It's a great problem-solver for some areas, particularly in the first parts of the game when you need a boost. Werewolves lose the ability to gain a rested bonus, but no big deal. My skills are going up faster than I want anyway. the downside, also, is that you don't gain any skill from combat in werewolf form, so it's really a better problem solver than a common use feature.

For example, it's great for the No One Escapes From Cidhna Mine when you're stuck in the mine with no weapons or armor, and you need (want) to kill the "king" and his minions.

It's also fun as hell, and beautifully done, so there's that. :)

Laziness, I didn't realize I could cure it when I was in the place, and I have been to lazy to wander back. I kinda wish you could have completed that questline without becoming one, but meh.

I thought about it and team jacob won lol ok I kid i kid. I like the rapid travel and got the ring that allows me unlimited transformations per day. So when I do the brotherhood quests its my beast form that will do the dirty work hopefully zero bounty lol.

We all have different opinions. I feel the same about dragonborn and Dragons.

Like the topic says! Give me your reasons for each option.

Three reasons:

1) In character, I kind of agree with Kodlak. He's got a good take on the drawbacks of the beast blood.
2) Out of character, you don't advance any skills while in werewolf form, so all it really does is save you money on disease curing potions while robbing you of level bonuses.
3) Also, functionally, the werewolf form is cool, but not what I showed up to play.

I didn't bother because my character is far stronger so it is basically a downgrade button.

I almost did because I wanted to do more with the Companions.
But I didn't, because I like being a vampire! And if you go through with the werewolf ritual, your vampirism gets cured.

I don't like being forced to play in shoddy 3rd person in a first person game, thanks.
