I spent the entire day playing this yesterday, and I only just barely made it into the casino itself.
It's freaking brilliant, if you ask me.
I'm the kind of gamer that explores everything he can when in an uncertain area that he might not be able to go back to. As such, I explored all six or so main levels of the external casino area, usually twice (using different followers for managing the Cloud and speakers) so I would be sure that I had everything I needed when I moved on.
Dealing with the Cloud, Ghost People, and speakers has been fun. Managing relationships with four other people, all of whom have their own agendas is fantastic. This is Fallout. This is what it means to survive after the world ends, with every deck stacked against you. Just scraping by on your wits and skill is essentially the experience that I've always looked for in a Fallout title.
I can understand why some people don't like it. They're used to games where they play run & gun superheroes. There are plenty of games that give you that experience, though, and precious few that provide a thoughtful survival horror RPG puzzler. If you don't like it... well, CoD BlOps is out, and I hear it's fun.
