Why No Snakes And Other Questions

Post » Sun Jul 03, 2011 5:48 am

Any dog can be made unstable through bad upbringing, the dogs breed doesn't truly matter, what matters is its upbringing, and if you believe that hostility or other such things are genetically passed down, that is the same logic behind eugenics, racism, and-- not going to bring that up.

WoW, know that's what I call jumping to conclusions. The reason they are an unstable breed is because stupid humans bred them to be so damn aggressive that its in their blood line. They can be born angry with no abuse, hence why they are banned in some states and they can be so "docile" and snap without warning.

So point the fingers to stupid dog loving breeders and not me.

You can't breed aggression into genes, genius, that's eugenics.

we know that some psychological conditions are genetic, genius. You take a bunch of naturally aggressive dogs who have "dog bi-polar type 1 with psychotic features" and you keep breeding them with dogs with this genetic feature and then you get a dog that can be docile one moment and bites a childs face off the next moment.

Face it, pit bulls are a freak of breeding and need to be put down. Evuentually it will happen when enough children get mangled by them.

You just name one reason dogs be more useful in post-apocayptic world than cats, they have breeds for many issue that may come at hand in said world.

I'm finished arguing with you, you seem truly fixed on your need to put down an entire breed of animal because of the behavior of a very small percentage of them.

I don't blame the animal. I blame idiot humans for purposely breeding such an aggressive breed and then sending them to people's homes with children.

Ignoring that pointless scuffle...

As far as I recall, the story was dogs were radiation resistant (essentially immune) in the Fallout universe, hence their survival. Cats obviously weren't. Remember, we're talking about magic Fallout radiation here. It has nothing to do with your house cat being good at murdering birds and lizards.

I didn't realize that the debate Cats vs. Dogs is still being argued over nowadays.

Keep in mind that most dogs are loyal and loving animals. If you were to die in a room with only a cat, the cat would most likely end up eating you, whereas many dogs wouldn't dare think about being disloyal to their master in such a way.

I don't blame the dog or the breed at all, I blame idiot humans for mistreating them, and idiots humans that label the entire breed as monsters just because those idiot humans who mistreated them couldn't keep them on a leash.

If the dog was slowly starving to death it would in fact eat your corpse.... The cat would likely would not as they do not eat generally eat corpses that are aged too long because it would make them sick....

People have strange perceptions of dogs. They are scavengers.

I say something that's relevant to the topic, and it gets ignored. Others say something offtopic, it gets responded to. Ah you never change, stay classy Fallout forums.

:fallout: You mean all the Mutant should be put down as everyone in wasteland are not human. :nuke:

One of you should just make a new thread covering this issue between cats and dogs so we can go back on topic.

I don't get why cats are extinct but dogs aren't. Cats are engineered as the perfect hunters of nature while dogs are just stupid scavengers.

Actually, dogs are descended from wolves. If they get in a pack, regardless of breed, the old instincts kick in. If there are several dogs in your area that hang out and you find a that a lot of cats have been turning up dead, it was the dogs. Pack mentality. Also, dogs are actually much more intellectually capable than cats, despite that cats have that look on their face like they know whats going on. Cats would have a terrible time in a post-nuclear world, being that they only hunt small and furry mammals and the occasional reptile, the would get killed off by their own prey (mole rats and geckos). Dogs in a pack can be deadly depending on breed. Don't get me wrong, I like cats but they wouldn't make it after a nuclear holocaust.

And to the OP, horses are extinct in North America according to the wiki, and all of the snakes in the world are actually Argonians in disguise who teleported back to Nirn just in time.

Don't even try, to him, cats are nature's equivelant of Batman and dogs are everything bad and incapable of survival :whistling:

That's funny.

The pit bull only killed the cats that went into its backyard, and it is one of the nicest dogs I know, his name's Ace, and is quite a baby.

Yeah I know one like that, a lab. He's a total nice guy apart from the cats.

I have 2 cats and live in the BC bush. I just got the male back after he was wild for 3 years. He's my great buddy now, just on the other side of the keyboard as I type. His mother and him could feed me. I keep them well fed to cut down on the carnage.

The pit bull is a very unstable breed. I think they should be eliminated. They turn on children even when you think they are the "nicest dog in the world".

No it's their owners. Pit Bulls are some of the nicest dogs I have met and I've had a few. From my Wolfhound/Shepard cross at 170 lbs to my sweet little Mini Pin [censored] (lol dog female) at 7 lbs. I actually find Statordshire Terriers are meaner in general the Pitties.
