Will you buy the next Bethesda game?

Post » Fri Dec 09, 2011 5:05 am

If it will be next in TES series? Quite sure that I will.
Although to be honest, I'm waiting for next installment of Fallout more :P (but that's the little gun-toting wastelander speaking inside me)

@Smig : Yes i am :). I just wanted to see how the responded to positive or negative posts. So far they've been positive and constructive. If i was a Bethesda employee, programmer or whatever i would be thrilled to see these posts.
Like i said in my statement earlier i don't hate them, i actually love their games :).

Despite the headaches (PC), I would still buy the next Elder Scrolls game. Hopefully that will happen after the next generation of consoles are out, so the PC version won't be held back by them.

Yes, but next time I'm waiting a few months before purchase. By then, the biggest bugs should be fixed.

Oblivion was/is an awesome game, with mods. On that premise I bought Skyrim.
Depending what Beth will do with Skyrim and what mods will do I might or might not buy the next TES game. But I am sure mods will make Skyrim even better and so I will buy the next game. ;)

Depends on whether or not their next game is a direct sequel in the Elder Scrolls series as opposed to a spinoff or a Fallout game.

@tagle : Do you enjoy the game so far? I did until the glitch ofcourse, i like Skyrim, the nature and everthing.

@DaveC : Same question :)

yes I do :) of course little bugs/glitchs and noticeable design flaw keep breaking my immersion, but so far the pros outweight the cons

Yes.

The only game of theirs I've ever had trouble with was New Vegas freezing on me and I still adore that game. I'm drooling at the though of FO4.

As long as they don't 'reboot' TES OR Fallout.

Given the quality of the most (and, in particular, latest) titles from Bethesda Softworks... Sure, no-brainer. Without even reading any reviews. I have a pretty large amount of loyalty to the company.

Not on the first day unless they start BETA Testing there products like every one else

i play egosofts X seires & there BETA tested before launch day even there MODS get tested by the comunity before Launch

i will still buy Beth's games but only after testing & if they dont test i will wait till the games are £5-£10 no more

yes, ill buy, ill test it for alk the spoiled bastards and complain about there computer games while starving kids sweat shop the very cloths they sit in. oh and thats bs about ob not being fixed i ran that game for like a 1000 hours on box with no major bugs at all, not everything is going wrk for everyone, maybe im just lucky, but i had none in fallout and only 1 in nv, so far ive had LOADs from skyrim really gutting but maybe its just my time. :tes:
even with bugs i get more content that the shovel ware most companys put out after 1 year of dev wrk, they can beta test all they like not going to change the fact most games are crap when you pay £40. at least beth make games with the content to boot, im a big multiplayer fan so i buy fps the not multiplayer side of the game lasts around 30-50 hours, beths games even if your a boring bastard must have at least 100 hours in them, i know ive racked up more zeros than that number.

After all the problems with skyrim? No i wont be thankyou. i would rather spend my money on a game that works properly when i get it on release date. Not have to wait months for it to be fixed. :)

Yes.

This for me as well. I've never had many bugs in any Beth game. Sure, I've had some minor issues but nothing I wasn't able to easily work around.

I love Bethesda

It depends. If it's as good as Skyrim and as in-depth as Fallout 3, then yes. If it's anything like Brink, NO!

Bethesda didn't make Brink.

If i have a PC that can run it and they'll release a cretion kit for it, pre-ordered sure as hell.

If no to one or both, eventually, with a lower price.

Depends on what they release. If it's a huge sandbox RPG then obviously yes. If they revert to their 80s habit of making sports games then no.

Bethesda makes games that enable free exploring - and that means glitches. When I started Oblivion I did one mission and went the Indiana Jones way ever since, growing in level of ultimate ninja / archery - like I'm doing in Skyrim. Freedom of movement in games give bugs, of course, because - like in Fable - your next move decides your fate, and the game needs to remember that. It's the AI of the whole world that forms to whether you pick your nose with your index- or your middle -finger... come on! give Bethesda a [censored] chance and don't be so [censored] [censored] about the bugs. Instead, if you do want to carry on complaining, wait 6 months, or a year, and try again!!
