Would you buy a copy of skyrim if it was bundled with all 4

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 6:11 am

I was just brainstorming here. But i was thinking that i am a person who likes to play the first game in a series before i beat the game that is a sequel to said game. The great thing with what they have done with the elder scroll games is that they have expanded on the foundation of the first games but not made it to were you have to play them to understand what is going on. I have only played skyrim out of the elder series didn't even know about oblivion until this game was out. Now to my point i was thinking that what if they remastered the old elder scroll games and came out with a all 5 games bundled. This would take lots of time obiously to remaster all the games and oblivion they wouldn't have to remaster i mean they could but not necessary. I but this up hoping that the staff would see this and hopefully get enough support to make this carry some weight. Any input is welcome

I only never played Arena and played all the others, but that's an interesting idea, also because my old intel pentium 133mhz is dead and there's probably no way for me to play daggerfall again :(

If their older games were available and ran properly on PS3 or Xbox, I would buy them. If they spent some time updating them, I would definately buy them.

Considering that Oblivion and Marrowind go for $20 and $25 on Steam yes I would. However that would take years.

For morrowind and oblivion anyway, you can get mods to make them both look just as good as skyrim for the most part :P

When Im done with skyrim I plan to give morrowind a whirl, I played oblivion do death already.

But anyway, beth could hardly texture skyrim well, I would not trust them to retexture the old games, or to redo the animations.

I wonder how much space it would take to convert all the dialogue in morrowind to voice...

I am probably the minority on this one. But, I wouldn't buy the collection. I am more interested in seeing what's next than relieving the past.

I would most certainly buy it.
I never really played Arena and Daggerfall as the gameplay and praphics kind of scared me away.
Same with Redguard and Battlespire, I kind of want to play them.

But you do realize that TES I: Arena came out 1994 and got http://elderscrollsarena.gooofull.com/resources/img/screenshots/2008/06/bafe307d367903298266c701384a5e92.png

Actually, I think I'll give it yet a try...

I would LOVE for that to happen, I would like the oppurtunity to play the first and second elder scrolls games as I have never done so. Also, FIVE whole epic games in one... Wow, just WOW. However, I doubt it will happen, so I won't get my hopes up though.

But they should know they would secure alot of sales and $$$ if they did so :D

They got remastered through mods, that is the beauty of TES. You can pick them up for a few bucks and download the mods for free. I replayed Morrowind with mods on an old netbook. Redoing them to the same level for consoles, I can't see it making a profit.

They would need a lot more than "70" voice actors that's for sure.

But for everyone who plays consoles we don't have that ability yes i realize alot of people play this on PC but from the millions playing consoles i see a large fan base buying them i realize would take a few years for this to be accomplished but i love the idea.

1-I've already bought Skyrim.
2-You could never remaster Daggerfall with Skyrim's graphics and do it's size justice.
3-Throw in Redguard and Battlespire.

Not without engine and graphics overhauls.

It's like reconnecting with an old flame - you remember she was once beautiful, but now, years later, age has destroyed that beauty. Doesn't matter how great she was because that's all in the past. You had your time, now it's time to move on.

I'd like to see the older TES games ported over to iPad and other tablets. Many of the fun RPGs on iOS have an early '90s feel to them. A game like Daggerfall would fit right in, and I wouldn't change a thing except what would be needed for touch control.

I think they would make millions (billion) if they remastered the whole series with current graphics and so forth and then released them. It would be an insta-buy for me and they could probably price it at $75 or higher and I'd still buy it. (A remastered Morrowind would be worth that to me alone)

Honestly, I'd rather them spend time and money working on improving the AI and making the game world more responsive and interactive to the player. There hasn't really been much improvement in this regard and it could really use work.

If they remastered all the games, and had you starting at Arena and seamlessly continuing up till Skyrim...I'd punch a nun to get that game. Realistically though, it would be a MASSIVE game space wise, and I'm sure they would have to re-build the games from the ground up using Skyrim's engine...as awesome as that would be, I don't see it ever happening. The best we can do now is the total graphical overhaul for Morrowind (which looks AMAZING btw) and the mods for oblivion. And this will probably get me flamed, but I'd like to have Skyrim's UI in Oblivion. I hated Oblivions UI, it's 10000 menu's and pages...and the "you can't drop an item here"...*twitch*

This, preferably with the massive problems fixed. (File Save Bloat/Crashing, Fixed Theft system Primarily)
