Got the email at 20:21 this evening!

"Your Amazon.co.uk order has dispatched"

Amazon.co.uk items (Sold by Amazon EU S.a.r.L.):
1 The Elder Scrolls V: Skyri... £27.87 1 £27.87
Dispatched via Royal Mail (estimated arrival date: November 11, 2011).

Paid for the 1st class option (as the site said at the time that for guaranteed "release date arrival", 1st class should be picked - which was only £1.69)

Am I the only one that clicked free release date shipping which arrives on 11/11?

I did that as well, not sure if that's available to our UK friends.

I live in the UK. Amazon dispatched my copy earlier and considering I paid for First Class Delivery, I should get it TOMORROW! :D

Also, free release day shipping is available. But First Class means the Post Office sort it out quick, whereas otherwise they drag their heels a bit too much. :(

Order from GameStop. They gave me a guarantee it would be at my house on or before 11.

I ordered from GameStop almost a month ago with Express Shipping, and it has not been dispatched yet :(

People calling Amazon a "fail", cause they try
release the game on release date? I consider
shops a fail that break the street date.

I did as well; first time I've tried it.
Mine still hasn't been updated, although living in NYC, I'm sure there's an Amazon Fulfillment Center close enough for me to get it in one day.

Aaaaaaaargh. Pre-ordered it in JANUARY and paid for 1st class. It still hasn't been dispatched. Not even 'soon to dispatch.' If what you guys say is true and they post it tomorrow, that's totally fine. But seeing that everyone has gotten email confirmation tonight, I'm kinda worried.

Mine says it's Dispatched and it's Arrival Scan is at 13:00 tomorrow, which means I WOULD probably get it tomorrow if I didn't live on a bloomin' island off of England, where it most likely means the arrival scan will be. :(

But at-least I'll definitely get it on Friday!

Don't worry, mine hasn't updated yet either. I'm still confident. There is allot of orders to process, so you should get your update sometime tonight.

The hell? Do you guys in the UK expect it to ship a week before release? My games always ship the day before and arrive on time release day.

Well I pre-ordered skyrim from amazon.co. UK and payed £5 for fastest delivery (1 business day) it is now wednesday and they stil have not even dispatched yet .... -_- so what do you guys think are amazon good at getting it to you on the proper day or are they terrible. all I ask is to have it by friday morning/afternoon

I hate to sound like a broken record, but anyone in the UK should use ShopTo.net. It's a videogame site so they understand the need to get things out for release date, they're cheaper than their competitors (sometimes by a little, sometimes by a lot) and out of many purchases I've never had a delivery from them on anything but the day before release.

haha, plenty of people do this, totally shooting themselves in the foot, when you pre-order games, they always have free delivery and arrive on release day, alas people still opt to pay between £5-£10 just for the 1 day delivery..... when it doesn't affect the delivery time.. lol

Wouldn't count on this, GAME denied ever knowing about a cloth map, to be honest, not many retailers have... in the UK especially.

Amazon are telling me that it'll be dispatched on the 10th and should be delivered on the 11th. I don't mind if I get it a day late, I won't able to play much on Friday anyway.

Amazon have said all pre ordered games will have the map https://www.amazon.co.uk/Elder-Scrolls-Skyrim-PC-DVD/dp/B004G5YW5Y/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1320881051&sr=8-2, seems pretty poor from GAME to not know something like that

Game.co.uk is probably the best place to pre-order from. I've had a lot of good service from them in the past with pre-ordering games.
