WTF amazon! : Othor Games

Well I pre-ordered skyrim from amazon.co. UK and payed ￡5 for fastest delivery (1 business day) it is now wednesday and they stil have not even dispatched yet .... -_- so what do you guys think are amazon good at getting it to you on the proper day or are they terrible. all I ask is to have it by friday morning/afternoon

Cancelled my Amazon UK order today because they were dragging their feet. Ordered from Shopto instead and it's been shipped today.

If you paid for 1 day delivery, that means they would ship it tomorrow so you have it on the 11/11/11 release date :whistling:

If it only takes one day to deliver it, then they'll probably ship it on thursday, the day before you're meant to have it.
Although I went for first class delivery and they shipped mine yesterday.

I ordered release-date shipping on a game, and it ships the day before. If yours hasn't shipped, chances are they just haven't updated the shipping info on your order.

In the past few months i have pre-ordered Gears3, BF3 and Skyrim from amazon. With the 2-3 days delivery. All games were dispatched 2 days before game release, and 2 of the 3 were in the day before there release. My Skyrim got dispatched today, so going by Gears3 and BF3, i should get Skyrim tomorrow.

First of all, where you are, OP ? also in U.K.?

If yes, if you pay more ￡5 fastest delivery then is what you will get: Dispatched day 10, delivery in the next day (day 11), friday.

It is estimated to come on 11/11/11 BUT I thought they have it in "Dispatched" for like a day then the day after its shipped in that case it would be shipped on friday

Having ordered many games from Amazon I can say from experience that they often do not update shipping details for pre-ordered, release date delivery games as quickly as one would expect, but they have never failed to get a game to me the day they promised.

As others have noted, they may be doing overnight shipping, they have done that before.

Amazon have never in 4 years and over 100 items ever let me down and have always delivered ahead of their delivery estimates, I see this being no different

England is a smaller country though you will probably be alright with a day of shipping if i remember correctly since i lived there the royal mail is pretty fast

It will be dispatched tommorrow and be through your mailbox on the 11th. That is the way it has always been for me with Amazon.co.uk pre-orders (and I'm in Aberdeen). If you are in a more difficult to reach area they may send it earlier.

The only time I have ever not gotten a pre-order on time, is when Royal Mail went on strike (two years ago?), so not Amazon's fault.

Alright thanks guys for all your input its put my heart to rest in worrying that i would be able to play friday (I have lots of time off as I just had an operation

) so yeah if I dont get it in time I shall complain and get my money back and hopefully skyrim for free :thumbsup:

If you paid for one day delivery then it won't be dispatched till tomorrow. What did you expect there's a reason its one day delivery.

Most likely but amazon pre orders tend to lean heavily on fail. back in the day I preordered lots of games using amazon and they would always come in late so I stopped bothering with them on new stuff.
