Do you decorate your house at all?

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 12:31 pm

When I pick it up I drag it along the vertical side of what ever surface I am going to put it on. The jar for whatever reason wanted to be lidside down, that was actually harder for me. Just don't pick it up to far over the surface, it'll start to tilt. btw that bedside dresser was easier than the table in Breezehome, because of the small space between it and the chest.

Thank you! I'll follow the tips, see if it works. It's kind of tricky because my current house (Markarth) seems to have no nice space to place it on, so I decided to first put it on a chest, but on which I cannot tilt it. Even the Gray Fox bust was easier to place, and on a narrow shelf, too (Solitude).

Wow, how LONG did it take you to arrange all these bricks???????? NICE!

Ha! Quite awhile until I figured out a great way to do it:

I use straight edges in the game world to line up the bricks before placing them. For instance, sliding an ingot against the wall on the floor sets its x, y and z axises to 0 sort of. From there, you can carefully lift it and it will keep its position, you just have to move it in line with the others and try not to touch them. Its easier than it sounds when you get the hang of it.

I'm now making a Vault room in Proudspire with the CK to store all my filthy lucre.

I didn't lay a finger on it, I started the game inside my house and it was reset in a perfect position. So weird but so great!
It'll definitely reset again, so I won't get my hopes up. Instead I'll practice item placement a bit.

I hang all my Daedric weapons on the plaques on the wall as a sign of my awesomeness.

I have tried. Man have I tried.

My first attemp was to line some skulls on the fireplace mantle and put helmets over them. After working on this for over an hour I was happy and left the house. Well I should have took a picture cause when I came back the skulls and helmets were laying all over the place.

Last thing I did was very simple. Clear off the table in Whiteruns home and add 3 ale bottles and the dragon grave location map. I swear everytime I leave and come back that map is on the floor under the table. After about ten times of this happening I just gave up.

I did get a butterfly in a jar to finally stay on a shelf (it did fall a couple times). But that's it.

At this point I just give up. I will not even try to add anything unless it is set in a pre-designed rack or wall mount. Heck I've even had things jump out of the display cases!

It is very maddening though. I decorated my houses in MW alot. Loved doing it. OB was a lot harder but you could manage. Skyrim is just impossible. I guess I should be thankful that they at least gave us maniquines and racks to use.
I did the exact same thing in breezehome, cleared the dining table and placed the dragon map and broken blade from ysgrammors tomb...when i returned not only were the items on the floor but all the original items were back. I got so angry that i blamed lydia for messing with my stuff and ran upstairs then ran my sword thru her

I actually spent at least two hours in real life time arranging all the weapons and stuff on display in Hijerm, which is strange since my room is covered in clothes and stuff, you could probably sleep on the floor comfortably.

I never "store" item's I remove from tables, shelve's, dresser's etc... I sell them or eerr donate them to the store. That way they don't move themselves back. Check the respawn times on thing's like food and ingredients and just make sure you go back to the house before that time is up. So far I have had luck with that. In Honeyside I plan on using the shelves in a basemant for other thing's, probably more book's.

It's gold. I have probably 20k worth of gold ingot in my Proudspire home. So much so that I am working on a vault room to store it all. Though, I do not look forward to moving them all to it! Will probably take an hour or more of very annoying placements, but you get the hang of it.

What else do you think they could be? Corundum or something? Transmute spell and a couple of iron mines is fantastic combo.
sweet stacking...whats that armor you wear and can it be obtained normally? I'm playing xbox. Also i have to try that drop and return trick to see if it works on xbox
