You know what grinds my gears? part II

-The fact that Chess produces phones where the batteries have the average life expectancy of a banana fly, causing it to be almost impossible to get in touch with a friend of mine by phone.
-The outrageous prices of snus (tobacco, goes under your lip, it is not chewing tobacco as many believe) in Norway, I should not have to drive to Sweden to not feel robbed, though everything is really cheap there so I do anyway.
-People who text while they drive, if it wouldn't ruin the car I'd be tempted to ram them off the road to teach them a lesson.
-People who yell at their phones, because of course you ahve to yell when the person you're talking to is far away.
-When I can't get that last bit of mustard out of the glass by any means. The only upside is that once it's clean I have another free glass.
-The fact that our nation is the richest in the world, and yet somehow can't afford to maintain trains...Seriously, our train system svcks ass.
-People with holier than thou attitudes, the fact that you don't drink, swear or have any character flaws whatsoever and feel the need to point it out does not make you superior to me, it makes you a [censored].
-The fact that Deadwood only got three seasons.
-That Hulu and other similar streaming sites for radio or tv won't work outside the US, there's probably a reason, but it still pisses me off.

swim trunks with pockets. theres not too many things around these days that doesn't get ruined by water, and i tend naturally to put stuff in pockets. and i tend to swim with swim trunks on. do you know what that leads to? its led to the demise of electronics that i put in those pockets, and then forget about. :cryvaultboy:

and slow/idiot/non-observant drivers. by that i mean the ones that go at least 10 mph under the speed limit, or sit there for 20 seconds at a stoplight not realizing its green because they're texting or talking on a phone, and the kind just is plain stupid about driving.

People that don't seem to know the meaning of the words common courtesy. Especially is said people are loud, shrill, and/or belligerent. In other words, almost all customers I seem to get.

I find something faintly uncomfortable about the idea that I'm currently sitting in your bed...

I don't like it when women wear makeup, especially eyeshadow and nail polish. It either detracts from their natural beauty or makes them look fake.

I agree. If you need a [censored] load of makeup to "look good" then forget it, you aren't going to look good at all. You're just fake. I can understand a little bit of makeup at times though, but there is nothing like a naturally perfect woman. I'm still looking for one :P

I hate gangs, and gang members. If you tell me you're a part of a gang, my respect for you will fall to astronomically low levels and will likely never recover. They're groups that only exist to commit crimes, whether it's murdering other gang members, murdering innocents "by accident," vandalizing property, selling drugs, and just generally making life worse for those who live in the neighborhoods they "control." Nothing good ever comes from them.

But see, for me, if a gang member says he renounced the gang lifestyle because of its violence and criminality, my respect will shoot up for them, mainly because I know behind the thuggish look some gang members tend to have there's a mature human being. It's... rather interesting.

I'm not that forgiving. It isn't about how they look, or how they really are on the inside, if they were in a gang at any point, there's almost no chance that they didn't do something illegal during that time. You can't just join a gang and hang around not doing anything illegal. Gangs exist only to do illegal things, despite what they may say. Even if they left the gang, they were still a part of one, and I wouldn't forgive them unless they could somehow prove to me that they didn't do anything illegal.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not under the illusion that I'm the perfect model of justice and good in this world, but I also don't go joining groups that do nothing but commit illegal acts.

Well, of course. But if they quit because they had that self-realization that what they were doing was wrong, I find that at least a bit redeeming, because now they may want to be productive members of society. There's no forgiving the violence that gangs inflict, but I give everyone at least a chance to prove themselves to be better people than they were before.

I speed all the time.

And antibody, I have a question for you.
Hate is an action. Would you go out of your way to mess with gang, or former gang members? Or do you just not care about them in the least?
I am just curious.

Thats something I just found out.

Well then you're a more forgiving person then I am. You could say "But wouldn't you want to be forgiven for your past mistakes," but the thing is, I would never do something as stupid as joining a gang, or the things associated with being in a gang, so I don't really have that problem. Sure, I've made mistakes, but nothing nearly as bad as what gang members do.

I would never mess with a gang. I don't really feel like getting killed. I'm not a cop, and as much as I hate gangs, my goals in life don't involve helping get them off the streets, as much as I'd want to. Besides, sending them to jail does no good, because there are gangs in jail too. Gangs are a natural consequence of humanity svcking (and yes, Defaulted, I'm aware that we've always svcked), and nothing will stop them from existing in the end. I realize that that's a pessimistic attitude to take, but that's just the way I feel about it.
