You know you play too much Fallout when...

... you're drinking from the toilet and wondering how many rads you're accumulating.
... you wonder what sort of Survival recipe your pet would fit into since life is hardcoe mode.
... when you're driving down the highway you keep an eye out for abandoned shacks, caves, vaults, and/or raiders.
... you crouch before you open a door into someplace you haven't been before. :ninja:

Okay, that's a good start, let's see what everyone's got. :fallout:

...you just stop listening to the radio anymore since there's no 3-Dog.
...Your Co-workers ask , "why is there a big #21 on the back of your coat?"
...you walk through a room and just start randomly stuffing [censored] into your pockets.
...you name your dog "Mole-Rat."
...Your most common meal is some vaguely recognizable meat on a stick.
...you stop observing the 3 second rule without even a shrug.
...some dude punches you after you ask if he "would like to play a game of Caravan."

You use the Reputation system in real life

Edit: When you try to increase your IRL skills/SPECIAL by reading books about Bartering or going shooting etc

...you try to figure out how much speech skill it would take to pick up the woman at the other end of the bar...
...you rip off the labels of your water bottles and scribble the word 'water' on it...
...you see an asthmatic person using their inhaler and the first thing you think is "He's doing Jet!"...
...your friends wonder why your house is full of teddy bears and snowglobes...

you haven't seen one of these threads yet, because you've been to busy playing Fallout (there have been several). :disguise:

Lmao, a lot of these are really good.

I figured they'd come up somewhere, but they're apparently all dead by now... figured we needed more "fun" threads and less "QQ! So many bugs, FO3 was so much better!" threads... keeps morale up. :hugs:

EDIT: ... you're talking to someone and dialogue boxes appear in your mind.

...you start to collect bottle caps

I did this long before I first played the original Fallout :) I have at least 70-80 bottle caps of sodas they don't make anymore. The trick is, don't use a bottle opener, that bends the cap. Instead, hook the edge on the counter and strike sharply downwards. This pops the cap off in a pristine condition. Some I got myself, others were given to me by friends and relatives who know about my collection.

When you think it's okay to randomly barge into peoples houses and dig through their personal belongings, thinking it's a perfectly acceptable norm.

you know you play too much Fallout when you're walking through town and you see some bottlecaps on the side of the road, and have to resist the urge for the rest of the day to go back and collect them...

You download all the songs in mp3 format to your blackberry from fallout 3, and Fallout Vegas, loop it,
and then walk around outside with it playing out loud.. imagining what a pipboy would sound like.

I actually did this...
Sure, it's geeky to the 5th power, but hey, It is also fun...

I only play a few hours on the weekends, otherwise I'm too busy.

You've played too much NV when you're playing golf and asking if any of the clubs are Nelphi's.
