I towed Veronica around for a while just because I liked hearing Felecia Day's voice. Otherwise I lone wolf it.

I agree, i use Craig Boone and ED-E also. I wish ED-E had something to make it a little more effective tho, but other than that great team. I mostly have ED-E for the side quest for now then i will replace.

...all of them are worthless, for the time being, in various pockets of the game. This is because all of them, at least on the 360 version, are bugged beyond belief. Anyone who uses melee primarily, or rather anyone who isn't Boone ( who snipes ) or Cass ( who sits there looking pretty and worthless ) rush right into the enemy and get slaughtered. Or into my line of fire and I kill them. Plus, with every single one, I've had to lose a few hours of game-time and reload to an older save because they either disappeared into the Earth, got bugged in the water and wouldn't respond, or just randomly left and wouldnt' come back no matter how long I waited.

Plus, in my main game, the quests for Arcade, Ed-E, Veronica, and Cass are broken and won't finish or progress no matter what I do. Or rather, I can complete Cass', but not positively. It just sits there until I kill the people, and she gets the avenger perk.

Personally, I much prefer being able to actually walk over terrain that isn't flat, swim in water, and ambush enemies at my leisure and the only thing I miss about companions is their ability to hold my loot.

Veronica fo shizzle. Great voice actress and keeps things lively. Lily would be a close second but the voice scares the crap out of me sometimes lol. For pure killing power nobody even comes close to Boone but he's the most bland of all the characters.

Really I think that Boone and Veronica should switch places. I can't believe that a female like her would be so proficient at hand-to-hand combat and I think Boone would make a good brawler.

I like Veronica. Although, she did get annoying when she kept asking, "Do I have to take that away from you?" Damn lady, I'm not that bad a shot. The main problem is that she doesn't level up like the others do. It's a pity too because I loved her punching stuff to death.

Ok... I may be an idiot, but how do you get more than one companion at a time? They always say there's not enough room for them.

I enjoy having E-DE and Jean-Luc Picard in my team...ummm..I mean spoiler alert....a what the hell....other than that I enjoy Boone - damn good with rifles that dude is:)

His cliched military meticulousness also keeps me calm is some of the more sinister vaults, keeping me from making stupid decisions.

Me and my man Raul f**k sh*t up on a daily basis. I give him combat armour mkII and a gauss rifle on big missions and there are no survivors.

I love Boone's spotter perk and Ed-E's sensor perk is useful for finding baddies in the wild to snipe. They make a good team.

Edit: I do tend to leave them waiting most of the time as I find pretty much any of the companions annoying when they run off after stuff.

I like Veronica because she's cutish, and has some funny habits. I like ED-E for the perk, the very handy battle music so I can run from point A to B without being ambushed too much, and because he/it is a veritable armoured flying footlocker (yeh, I know they can all carry stuff, but ED-E has that utility trunk look about him).

I think they sold ED-E short though...he would be just the thing to throw on the fire to heat up that old mole-rat stew or to knock up some of the survival recipes in. He'd make a great pressure cooker.

I used ED-E and Boone for my first playthrough, trying to switch it up, but to me it seems like the other followers just don't stack up to these two combined. I like using Cass alot, but I don't drink whiskey too often. Raul's perk of keeping things from breaking down is a damn good trait to have if you don't have jury rigging. Veronica's trait is useless to me, because I never have to craft ammo, I always find what I need, she's just a good damage dealer. I haven't gotten around to using Lily or Arcade, and Rex hasn't done a lick of work other then biting people in the nuts.

I wish I could have a pack brahmin as a companion, and I really miss the perk "Magnetic personality." One more follower would be the [censored].
And how is a flying robot that's as big as your head able to carry 210lbs? The pack brahmin makes more sense to me. :whistling:

Arcade's my favourite companion to travel with, though the most useful is probably Boone.

Most pathetic? Eh, probably Raul or ED-E. Still love them both, though.

My set up is usually Arcade and Rex, but seeing as Gannon left me to help prepare for the battle of Hoover Dam, I'll probably have Veronica instead. I just invited her along last night -- nice girl, and I can't wait to see that Ballistic Fist crush the heads of Legion in a fury of epic justice.
Boone's a great guy, but I've already done his quest and feel like a change.

My fav is Veronica because she's a brotherhood of steel person and she uses a nice power fist which does a good damage.

Cass. I just love that loud-mouthed gal.

Plus her father, the old geezer was unstoppable with a Gauss Rifle in F2.

Lily and Rex cause their my buddies and Lily is awesome, but I lost Rex in Repconn HQ and Lily is not at Lucky 38, very sad. I also like Veronica, but right now I'm trying out Arcade, but I don't like that he won't support me if I side with CL.

Boone was pissn me off last night i kept losing him in Mead lake when i was swimming.

That was so funny. He swam out there on the top of the water but when I swam back he was still there so I had to go find him again. I liked that part/scenery...it was fun...and we both got to get cleaned up in the lake.

yep thats what happen to me. at first tho he was just walking on top the water. then he just fell threw. we where trying to find the boomer that the NCR ranger said was in the lake. haven't found it yet has any one?
