First and foremost - this: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1282356-req-decline-quests/ - as you can guess without even following the link (but do, please) the fact that you cannot decline/remove from your journal a -bunch- of quests. Related to the quest system two more problems: 1) game is, even for ES standards OVERLOADED with quests, most of which aren't particularly cool or original (serious case of quantity vs quality) - this, combined with, what I imagine every true ES player is like (obsessive completionist) makes the game feel like a chore - I had to force myself to say FU to Whiterun after I realized I was getting burnt out from the game some 20 hrs in while still not seeing even 1% of it. Yes, main quest and some quests in the game so far are beyond fantastic but you have to force yourself to decline (which you can't, in a lot of cases) a bunch of useless filler quests to get to truly enjoy them. And not just that.. they STILL haven't learned their lesson: 2) seems to me like most dungeons are again various forts with bandits in them - why?! This pissed me off about Oblivion.. forts with random bandits are BORING and feel like Oblivion all over again.. I want more unique tombs, barrows, unique forgotten dwemer ruins etc.. I'm sure I haven't seen even 20% of them yet but that's precisely the point.. I've seen like a million forts and fought 2 billion bandits by now. Finally, the last element of this is the journal - wtf is this, really?! No backstory, ability to review dialogues, just one line of text?! And if you want more you instead get GPS? Bi*ch, please..

So yeah.. questing system.. by -far- the biggest disappointment of Skyrim.

Frankly, this is what bothers me most. Magic will be fixed and when it is it will be by far the best system in any ES game to date so no worries there. Combat is much better and will get even better. Smithing/enchanting etc.. in fact I -like- how for the first time truly good armor is REALLY rare.. I haven't run into ANY orcish armor until finding an orc encampment. I don't even know what Elven or Glass look like and I can't even imagine seeing Ebony or Daedric in any forseeable future.. no more bandits asking for 5 gold pieces wearing armor jarls couldn't afford. There is any number of other things I'd like to mention as fantastic (armor and weapon looks, for one) but I'll just conclude with saying that the UI is -fine-. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, it is easy, intuitive and FAR better than Oblivion's. And this is coming from someone who NEVER EVER played a console game and is an avid PC gamer.

8. At level 12 I can already easily kill every mob I encounter in the game (aside from giants)...what exactly am I levelling up for? Maybe this will become apparent as I progress! (I hope)

Good point right there, haven't really thought of it before.

Another comp lock up. All settings on normal, crossfire turned off, no overclockage, and no special drivers or mods enabled. This is frustrating. After all the things I've been posting about, I do like the game. Its just nit finished and should not have been released until it was finished.

I hear that the difficulty is horribly unbalanced. Damage modifiers are barely modified, but a Saber tooh cat or a troll will still destroy you with 2-3 hits.

lol at the start i hated trolls move fast and hit hard...i ended up playing tag runing in circles casting flames at it..till it deid...which is an ai problem... if their is any kind of obstacle in the way even it its lv 100 and you can damage it u you can kill it at lv one if it needs a melee hit to damage you..
or able to get to high ground..i call it tag...
however a dumb animal would probly chase you in endless circles but the human ai is the same way??
it would be nice if the ai was able to adapt to the situation before it ..if i'm running in a circle for an hour it should change its tatics..
also their are bear traps in the game WHY can't the player use this ..would be really handy to end tag against a dumb animal..what i mean by use is being able to place them wherever we want??
their are magic traps like this kinda which is kool but im not a a good mage....
but really i can't complain all to much maybe Ai is just doomed...
PLEASE bethesda be the ultimate leader in ai any make your next game blow us out of the water PLEASE!!!!

The only thing that has bothered me has been the bug with the home in which you own. You can decorate it the way you wish to have it, but upon returning it has been scattering as if a person threw a hand grenade in your living room scattering all of the objects everywhere.

Other than that it has been nice. Sure there are bugs, but every game is gone to have bugs in its coding, it is natural. No real point to complain seeing how people willingly bought the game with an understanding that it is new & will have bugs/glitches.

Every game is going to have flaws. No one can perfect every single aspect.
Posts like these tend to cause arguments and trolling.
You are entitled to your opinion but surely you are thankful for the game being created at all?
It's great to have feedback as long as it's helpful criticism, but keep in mind they worked hard on this and in many ways this series has moved forward.
I, for one, love Skyrim :tes: Then again, that's my humble opinion.

The dog quest is the beginning part of a Daedric quest.

yea, and does it not add to the quest log and remove itself from the MISC section? that pretty much proves my point

1: Only. One. Ring. Why? JUST when we can FINALLY dual-wield, or pack a weapon and a spell, why are we restricted to one ring? It makes NO sense and it's annoying as hell.

2: Can't craft circlets. Why? We can craft all the other jewelery.

3: At higher levels, dragon encounters are a bit too common.

4: No unlocking spell for mages. It's a pain that I have to use lockpicking, no matter if I'm a stealthy thief, a Nord warrior, a Breton mage, etc.

5: Bandit Chief > Dragon. Wtf?

6: Why is the path up to High Hrothgar such a chore? You'll likely be walking it at fairly low level, so why is there an ICE TROLL up there?!

7: Not enough game :P It'll never be enough. Moooore!

Someone sticky this thread. With luck (more than all of us put together should have any right to see in our lifetimes), Bethesda might listen to one suggestion from this thread for the next patch.

I think the skyrim would have been better if they used fallout stat and perk system and use a lot of the features of oblivion/morrowind.

I find it funny while these games had some flaws, but what they did right is a lot of what they left out on skyrim, and we're all pissed.

And for crying out loud fix the mess I have in my chest at home! I can't sort a damn thing! All the previous games you could, why not this one?

Hell a reskin of fallout 3 or new Vegas would have made a better skyrim...

Lol. Pretty much. Then Steam goes off and breaks the game (in the name of DRM) for most legit owners using the 4gb patch, while pirates are unaffected. Seems there is more to b**** about with Skyrim than previous titles.

@interface2037 Because of what was just said lol. They took that out too. Stamina no longer affects carrying capacity.

i am sure that i just saw vinnie jones as an orc..!!

Oh my lord I thought the exact same thing on the character creation screen, much to my amusemant :D
But the little things that bother me:
1. Enemies when a dragon are around. Really? I'm still the main threat?! Why not side with me to fight the dragon?! Priorities! ?_?

2. Hi, go be a werewolf, okay that's it. What the hell?! They could of atleast put in some form of levelling for werewolves? I don't like the idea of no matter how many people I maul I will still be a newbie werewolf :(

3. Destruction. I'm not a mage, but I gave it a try and I was like "Uhmm where are my spells?" So I levelled destruction up to about 55-60 and I was still using sparks, no matter how many spells I bought they all seemed pretty damn [censored]e.

4. The top 3 armours. Ebony. Daedric. Dragon. When fully upgraded the chestplates only have I think 1 or 2 points difference? So for an extra 20 smithing levels I get eye offending armour and an extra point or two. Is it just for look preferences?

I'm done XD If I think of more I'll most definately come back to rant. :3

i sort of fixed that problem. Just next to the smith in whiterun theres barrels just put ingredinents in one and smithing stuff in another then when you need stuff later just go to the barrell you need

I'd say the only thing that bothers me is a certain sword not being in the game but I understand why it's not in. Other then that I don't really have any complaints.

I liked the game when I started playing it. Tho theese last few days, my hair is starting to turn gray and my mind Is 40 years older.

- Quest are extreamly buggy. Have 1 char with Main quest and Stormscale quests bugged. Can't progress em, since the NPC's won't actually talk to me. Started another Char, can't complete Companions since, yes you guessed, bugging!
- Graphics are disappointing for a 2011 game. Sure there are alot of mods, that improve it, but come on. Fans / players can make theese texture improvements, but Bethesda can't?
- Warrior tanking horses, I feel somewhat absolete in some battles. My horse is doing all the work
- Horses can't reverse. If youre on a ledge or some small passage, you have to fasttravel away, cause if you turn around, you will fall down and die.
- UI is messy and confusing. Could have been so much better.
- Guild questlines are WAY too small. Only 5-6 quests in each guild. Feels like becoming is the leader is as simple as just "kill this and that guy, and youre the man" Felt so much better in oblivion.
- No epic reward for main quest. In oblivion you got a shiny nice armor and weapons for doing the main quest. In Skyrim you get "gee, thanks man you saved us, take care now" and the next NPC won't even know what uve done for him/her
- Dragons are way too easy compared to Saber cats / trolls / bears. Shouldn't matter what skill youre playing on, a bear / troll / saber cat shouldn't be harder than a freaking dragon.
- Dragons often tends to fly around for up to 20min, and then they will just fly away. Giving you no chance of killing em, since they are too far away. Even Dragonrend won't get the dragons down to earth in 6/10 cases.
- Dragons flying seems a bit like they were made with Stop motion effects when flying.
- Difficulty is not scaling properly. Once you pass 30, you can spit everything to death. Even on the harder Skills. (playing Adept / expert)

Overall i feel like im playing a Beta game here. Specially with all the quest bugs. I can understand a few minor quests can bug. But come on, the main quest? and quest for guilds? Waiting for 1.2, if it don't improve im shipping this game back, and waiting 1-2 years with buying it.
