hey guys, we're in the process of rolling it out so you can expect to see it 'ramp up' in the near future. We're also in the process of developing further measures to clamp down on all known cheats in the game at this time and future proof ourselves to some extent.
As mentioned in the announcement, this is the first in a series of security updates.
Cheers Tom! I take it this will be put into effect with the server patches soon to be done by the likes of Gameservers.com etc?
Or roll out that dx 11 patch that was advertised to be in crysis 2 on nvidias website before launch but wait u guys tried to cover that up i remember now lol
I just had a nice sesion, in 6 servers I have found around 1 to 3 hackers on each, this is unplayable. "near future"? Near future is not aceptable, I can't believe you released this without any security at all, instead of having frun in MP it's just frustrating, fix it alredy ffs.

Would it help to report the names of cheaters anyway? Maybe via PM?
I know Crytek would become overwhelmed with names, but they can look into some cases in order to find out how to counter cheat programs (I don't actually know how far Crytek can dig into our pcs tho)
There's nothing diferent right now, i just been playing and there's hackers everywhere. Same, just joined a server and cheating is as rampant as yesterday.
If they have implemented cheat detection, it isn't working. Easy now there... You can't get all cheaters at once! Today we released the first of a number of security updates... Regards, Ned Kelly
im not surprised this if "anti-cheat" is not working, after all the stuff we were fed with.. just saying. oh to add i encountered so many cheaters today. shooting while invisible and melee from nowhere! that guy got no deaths and 25 kills. please add a vote kick, "anti-cheat" alone is not enough
They haven't clearly told us if this is a server-side update or a client update.
Most likely to help keep cheaters in the dark. Uh, it keeps us in the dark too because how do I know if I have it if it's a client update since auto update doesn't work for me.

But how about stopping the pirates from playing the MP, because cheaters are most likely people who just downloaded the cracked version of the game. People who payed for the game are less likely to cheat in MP, because of a potential ban.
I was just in a match with a hacker, so yeah. He was standing there with five of my teammates shooting him, and would not die. I threw a grenade at him when he was by a car and he killed me and 2 teammates. This is ridiculous.
Finally I'll play without worries... There will ALWAYS be cheaters. But this makes it much harder, which will lead to a significant decrease in the number of hackers.
I'm still waiting till Crysis 2 decides to save my stats / let me use my Preorder equipment. Until then, I'm gonna enjoy the campaign
Well if those cheaters stats are being resetted I guess the top 500 or something are all now dissapeared? So if I would look at the top stats it shouldn't be there like a guy with 7 minutes playing time with 200000 kills?
Edit false hope.. Just look at those stats and Lol.
Uh-oh the little kids getting mad that the update in which Crytek specifically said, is the beginning of many, isnt as effective as they want it. HOW ORIGINAL
