As I said before, I still think that Crytek never worked on anti-cheat prior to this game's release. I think they've planned on creating the anti-cheat system after it's release due to time restraints for a while now. So, this means they're developing it as we speak, and hoping they have something that is effective as soon as possible. I don't know anything about anti-cheat programming, but it seems that it may take a while before they figure out how to get it to work properly. Chalk it up as if you purchased a single player game, and perhaps sometime this summer a patch will be released that allows you to play it online!
That's probably exactly what they've done. Sadly, though, that's the thinking of a company that is only out to get money. The fact that the hacking has been so bad has probably made many people quit and many more (myself included) seriously consider stopping. As far as EA/Crytek is concerned though though don't give a ****, they already got my money so they can take as long as they want because me leaving doesn't cost them anything.
By the time they DO figure their **** out and finally get some working anti-cheat system in place a new FPS will be out for other people to play. Crytek and EA seem to be trying to convince us that PC gaming is dying by doing as little work as possible hoping we'll eventually just stop asking them for PC versions.
