Where did he say he didn't like the game?

Really, it can be the beginning of manny however those should have been already in the full game.
I love the game, but then again it makes me sad that they released it in its current state, no 5k 12y old cry baby here... .

It's not as simple as "if you don't like it don't play it", we paid for this game and it's currently broken, people have every right to complain unless they can make sure everyone has access to getting a refund.

You can stick up for Crytek all you like, but the fact is, until the game is fixed people who paid for it can complain all they like.

Just leave the "MATURE" 30 year old fuzzy thinking we're just cry babies because he sure looks like a mature guy... I won't even take the time to respond to such "MATURE" people anymore. If he is so happy with the game, idk why he runs through the forums defending crytek, he should game his ass off (like i would). But meh im just a kiddie and he's mature so i can't understand him ;<

I'll continue playing this awesome single player game till they completely fix mp.

Well then is file check protection on too? cuz ive seen many people cheating only by modifying their game setting files.They dont need hacks. Please say YES!

hey guys, we're in the process of rolling it out so you can expect to see it 'ramp up' in the near future. We're also in the process of developing further measures to clamp down on all known cheats in the game at this time and future proof ourselves to some extent.

As mentioned in the announcement, this is the first in a series of security updates.

So what does it actually do? Since it's apparently serverside, presumably it's just basic "is this guy sending 500 I-punched-player-X packets a second" style checks?

Of course they are, what did you expect? Crytek sent out a server side update to fix a client side issue; all they can detect is things that are blatantly obviously hacks (such as spamming punch packets). If they want to detect something like infinite energy server-side, they have to use heuristics (basically, guessing if they're hacking), which gives a hefty performance hit and will get false positives anyway.

Edit: It may have been a client update after all, in which case all I can say is "lol fail".

This Anti-Cheat Update dont exist. Its only a try from Crytek to bring the people down and to get time.
The way how easy people can use cheats in Crysis 2 is a SCANDAL. THIS GAME IS MADE FOR CHEATERS.
Please Crytek, next time put a big poster on the Gamebox:
"ONLY FOR CHEATER. Everbody how buy this game and dont uses Cheats is stupid !!!"

Or bring a Cheating Limited Edition, with all Cheats.

I wait some days and when the prob is not fixed i sell my game. Sure one Cheater will buy it.

just had the same issue...but the guy's name on my server was evgenie_1994 with clantag 666
this security update svcks...You see cheaters on every **** server. So frustrating and stupid! -.-

Yes. It seems like they're are fewer had but they're still there. Maybe the patch will address the local file "tweak" people are doing in notepad.

To be fair, with the piss poor job they did stopping cheating in the first place and over all multiplayer experience for PC I wouldn't put it past them to ban people that don't deserve it. Sure actual hackers will claim injustice but I wouldn't be surprised if there was actual injustice.
