Do any of you have any good ideas for things Beth can add in

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 1:50 pm

I was wondering since, I've finished most of the things to do in Skyrim.
maybe dye pigments for armour and clothes , trading vessels such as boats what u can see on the water moving towards eg:Riften or Windhelm , maybe another race what comes with these boats , a Alpha Werewolf n hey im a Vampire fan , maybe these trading vessels would bring exotic wares to skyrim , armour and clothes from another land , goblin raiding parties would be a good idea , tho the vampires wud wipe them out loooool . :deal: :fakenopic:

I've always wanted my argonian to turn into a werecroc instead of werewolf...Simple model swap. Keep the body shape the same so it could use the same rig and animations. The werewolf body shape would lend itself really well to a reptilian like werecroc imo. Same goes for werecats for our other fellow beast folk.

Yeah I would like to see Staves changed to where they cast any spell you arm, instead of just one spell. Also I would like to see some sort of spell combo moves, where you can combine spells for interesting effects.

I would like to be able to sheath dual weapons, because it looks sort of silly when i sheath my right weapon and my left just dissapears...

Aedric artifacts would be really cool too.

i play on xbox, and i am very dissapointed that beth hasnt released dawnguard to PC or PS3 yet, it has been a month i think.

An ability to disenchant/remove items without destroying them. If you get hit by a werewolf and you kill it there should be a chance a pop up saying you've been infected with the lycon disease. More clothing with more assortments of color. A second lycon disease that's alot weaker than the companions, is more shaped around your race, and has more human form abilities. A hybrid dragon form shout like the breath of fires games. More race armors and weapons not just orc alone. No split paths like dawnguard where you can only pick one side; equipment or magic. More monsters. A way to bound weapons you have made. !!!!Unarmed tree!!!! Better looking jewelry. And why can't you envoke your fists with elemental fury or poisons???

I would like to see staffs that don't vanish into thin air when you lower them. I would like to see them used like a walking stick when not in combat. I already have 400 pounds of stuff in my invisible backpack, I can't fit a six foot staff in as well.

Not sure if this has been said to not ever be implemented into the game but, I miss making spells like in Morrowind/Oblivion but this time more advanced and creative to allow for more than tweaking: magnitude, duration, and area... mainly because I want to make a spell that acts like "flames" but maybe a bit more powerful? Also... wherebears... also... (This was in the Game Jam) Building houses was cool but maybe with more things to customize like furniture placement and what-not. Another thing I would love is a "realistic mode" like in New Vegas (Yeah I know, I know Bethesda didn't make New Vegas but it would be cool) This could add things like: having arrows weigh you down, needing to sleep/drink/eat or DIE, camping outside (for easy access to beds) and others. Oh and to fix the problems with dual-wielding sheathing/ Staff sheathing they could have an option to place weapons in specific places on your character and have them do the different animations depending on what the weapon is and where it is placed on their body e.g having two swords placed on your back and a dagger on your side, or a bow on your back with two daggers placed on either side. Switching between these weapons would be done by going on your favorites and choosing said weapon (which then triggers your character to do the animation for said weapon) And yeah most of this stuff is possible for the PC as mods but alas, I don't have Skyrim for the PC and some of this stuff would be amazing to have in the vanilla version.

Tailoring skill tree, so players can craft their own clothing. I'd like to make my own variations of the arch-mage robes and the fur-line robes. I don't expect to be able to make the exact versions of unique items, but there is a lot of nice looking clothing in Skyrim, and a lot of potential for even more. I'd like to see this expanded and made into a separate crafting skill so that players who choose not to wear armor can have more variety and content.

I wish they would make the carriage system more realistic, have it travel between towns because quite frankly nobody is using it anyway cause your paying for fast travel... they also need to add the missing carriages to all the minor holds, it doesn't make sense that it takes you there but you can't go back.

.....This could add things like: having arrows weigh you down, needing to sleep/drink/eat or DIE, camping outside (for easy access to beds) and others.

If a game has mods... don't buy the console version :P

For both the carriage and the camping/eating things, both are mods available for PC. The carriage one is... lacking. I think Bethesda needs to take over and help the mod author out and implement it in the next expansion. The link between the horse and carriage is kinda buggy at the moment. The other mods, there's IMP's more complex needs, which requires you to eat, and there's three different camping mods I know of. There's also one that makes weather effect you (you'll freeze to death up by winterhold in a blizzard if you don't make a camp and sit by the fire... or go inside a building/cave). I run with all three of those types of mods. The hypothermia one I use turns off fast travel (togglable), and having to eat, sleep, travel by horse/carriage and stay warm adds soooo much to the game.

I'm not one for the big changes, but little things I've seen in other mods would be great. For example, why, by default, does the player's spouse just sit at home and lounge around all day (if they aren't a usual follower)? Ysolda is LAZY. There's a mod that gives your spouse a job in Whiterun Market. Amazing even though that's the only town it works in, but it should be in the game by default. If you keep your spouse in the town they are usually in, they should stick to the same routine they did before you married them, aside from going home earlier if necessary. For other towns, give them a storefront to that little shop they brag about. A little immersion tweak like that would be great. Big game changers I'm not so good with the ideas on.

Speaking of Whiterun, Breezehome by default is terrible. If I was the Dovahkiin, I would have ripped that house to the ground and built something much better on top of it. If a new home is added, please make it worthy of a dragon slaying machine.... but since "time has passed," maybe make the default home a little bigger. Hell, make it a new upgrade and worth a good sum of gold.

Those immersion mods above should be added, toggleable though so those that don't want to use it don't have to. Adding something for camping would be great, because setting up a camp can be a chore, you have to find decently flat ground, which is actually kind of hard. Fire pits mold the ground around it and flatten it out, but tents don't, which can make getting in and out of the big ones a bit of a pain if it's on a slope. In my opinion, have tents flatten the ground under it, even if it "digs in" a bit.

One last thing: either give an option to toggle their voices off completely, or give followers way more to say, and more personality. They are annoying at this point. And when I am crafting something in the house or just standing there for whatever reason and they are close by, they shouldn't say "I'm right here/I'm right behind you/I got your back" (Lydia) every 10 seconds. Once every 5 minutes is fine.

Or how about instead, A spell or skill that allows the player to remove enchantments.
