Are You Playing Crysis 2 or Waiting for a Patch?

Post » Fri Oct 08, 2010 2:50 pm

After 5 days of try and settings + 1 seeds epilepsy ... (I tried to play it with crossfire)

The copy of the game has already been reported in the store and 100% of my money are back in my pocket. Then, when there will be a working product that reflects what was promised...I will think whether to buy it again.
Maybe .

-Advances Graphics Options.
I can't see crytek building a new game in a patch, what you see is what you get, there is no more to add unless they build a new game and make CryEngine 4 PC centric.

I don't agree, we've already seen community tools come out where we are able to make many changes that an advanced graphics option would provide. I'm no dev/programmer but I assume this could be easy to implement.

Can someone tell me why does this game have .dll of dx10 in binary folder? Maybe they will give us DX10?

This is the main reason I believe DX10 and DX11 will get implemented in a patch.

I'm waiting for a patch, partly because when I tried firing C2 up to see how it looked (before I had read anything about the DX9 or low res textures or anything and was expecting a system-crippler like C1...) I discovered I couldn't make use of both my Radeon 5850s, one of which I had just bought in the previous week for this occasion, without the lights going all Porygon on me.

But honestly it's mostly because I'm still not even close to finishing Dragon Age 2, since I have so little spare time for gaming. Seeing how much realism DX11 features add to that game (tho I'm kind of a huge geek about that stuff), and seeing as I'm still in Act 1 whereas my girlfriend already beat the game (she played on 360), I'm willing to wait a while longer and hopefully be able to play C2 as it was supposed to be. If there's been no patches by the time I finish DA2, I'm sure I'll just go ahead and start Crysis, and I really am disappointed that the advertising in the runup to its launch was so misleading, but I've already bought it and can't get a refund, so I don't mind waiting a bit.

I'll not buy it until it has a dx11 patch that greatly improves the graphic and all stupid bugs fixed

Waiting for a patch. Not because of DX11, the game looks awesome even without it, but due to all the MP bugs. It ain't worth my time when experience and unlockable stuff isn't remembered by Crytek servers. Unlocking all the stuff every damn time I want to change something is just too much of a bother.

One thing I've realized along with watching videos is that every other human you fight in the game is wearing a helmet. This got me thinking...it's probably so the rating on the console versions could be lower since you wouldn't see the actually faces of the people you picked up by their neck.

I remember in the first Crysis there was an option for blood on/off, it would be sweet if they could add an option for the helmets on or off. This is one of those things I doubt would happen but damn it would be cool. Or maybe we could knock the helmet off their head...first you choke them with one hand, rip the helmet off with the other and then punch them in the face before you chuck them away.

This is the simple fun stuff that gets left out or limited when consoles come in to play as well in my opinion. One thing I really loved about the first two Crysis games is that they really felt more mature and creative.

The poll broke 400 votes...keep them coming! The results are overwhelmingly clear and the more the better to send our message to Crytek.

If you haven't already, cast your vote.

They don't care if we're not playing till they patch it, they already have my 60$, so there's no rush.

LOL, people on this site have already, by themselves made programs that adjust the video options like, 2 days after release. Crytek sure is taking their time.

I disagree. Even if they didn't care we need to let them know how we feel and what we're doing. This has had a huge impact on the PC community and I for one haven't lost faith. I want them to know how they are affecting me.

Although their communication has been limited each time they have reached out they at least try and speak to how they are concerned and working on it.

Agreed, so far the gamesas forums have got to be one of the most hostile PC game forums i've seen in a long time, why people can't make there points (be it good or bad) in a well mannered way, these people much realise that the devs/mods will stay away from the forums if it's all rudeness etc, perhaps if people put there points across better then the devs/mods would maybe post a bit more.
---
Anyways, i voted waiting for the patch before i continue playing, the nano reset bug for SP is driving me nuts (aswell as various other SP bugs) and frankly i haven't touched the MP since day 1 due to masses of issues with it.

I'm sure crytek will get it all fixed up nice and dandy (sooner rather than later i hope) as the game does have a lot of potential, if it takes to long for it to get fixed then the MP community will die out very quickly.

It's from demo version than crytek need to fix the cheats, i like the MP version, bougth it only for this, i have other title than are more funny to be played in campagin; in MP it's unusable but if i paid for it i think than at least they need to give me FAST a patch and BAN all game key than use cheat not the ip ban the key of cheaters, i disagree to wait weeks for use a game than i paid for it.
If there is a "hole" in MP game they need to close all server, it's they fault, with all server close all became more angry coz they don't give us what they promise; let server open i'ts just a way to tell hey all is ok, it's not ok at all.

So i agree with all MP angry PC user than are screaming here.

Hi!

I have just played crysis 2 in some days after release now :) But i can really say this: Please release a patch with full performance support both DX9 and DX11 :) I want this fixed:

Performance on both Sli and Crossfire mode

no lag on water and some other stuffs :)

We buy Sli and Crossfire for use in performance with higher details.

Even if this works without glitches with Rift.exe theres other failures like: disappering items, water and many other things that nots really working :( who aggre this is bad to release a game with that issues :O ?

What are the issues you're having with water and what items are disapearing? I haven't heard or experienced these yet and they may be good to put on the list.

Ok, sounds like the Crossfire flicker that many are experiencing. This is on the list so hopefully a patch will help out soon.
