I pre-ordered Crysis 2 and was unable to play it the first couple days. After I started to see reviews and feedback on the forums I decided to hold off for a patch. I got impatient last night and decided to play the game and was extremely dissapointed with many of the changes from the original Crysis + Warhead and will continue to wait in hopes that the long list of limited options will get fixed (not only but including DX11). I'm curious who else has chosen to wait and/or who is playing regardless.

Personally I'm not frothing at the mouth for DX11 but I do want:

-Lean / Prone
-Advances Graphics Options
-Access to console settings
-Fix the movement and jump latency

***Below is a comprehensive list of all the issues/desired changes posted so far in the thread that other gamers are experiencing and/or would like to see fixed or changed. Some may already have a workaround or temporary fix but I am of the mind that everything shouldn't have to be a workaround but actually implemented into the game for us to utilize. I also included them in case someone else is experiencing the same issue(s) where current workarounds don't remedy the problem. Lastly, I've included everything I could find that wasn't necessarily something I prefer or not, I hope to simply communicate what everyone is voicing in the community to Crytek so we can be clear about what we want/like and don't. I am using a custom graphic config and single player feels like a PC game at MAX settings than extreme default settings crytek set.

Now i can force things in the game that Crytek didn't enable for us pc gamers.

There is already access to the cfg. You can't do it in the console but you can do it in the files.

Playing on PS3 currently, and loving it, for a PS3 game. My PC copy arrives today. I will play it, but I know what to expect compared to my highly modded Crysis. I'll still play it as it is, but I am eagerly awaiting a DX11 patch & Crossfire fix to take full advantage of my two 5870s.

Thanks, I dug around for a couple minutes but didn't find them last night. Honestly I had a killer headache from the default FOV which I eventually changed in a shortcut but my patience coupled with big disappointment was very low. I'll check it out.

I'm waiting for the patch, because my rank is every time reseted to Lvl 4, thats soo b******t :@
And I redeemed the LE Code, i can't use the unlocks and I'm not Lvl 5 :@
In the Multiplayer menu it shows me Lvl 6, but whenener I join a server, then it shows me Lvl 4 -.-

Waiting for patch. The Melee bug is annoying and I lost 13k nano catalyst. Get about two multiplayer games before Crysys 2 locks up.

Good game but bugs impact on enjoyment. Might start from the beginning once the major bugs are fixed.

I've been quite relaxed about it until now, however, I'm begining to get a little annoyed. Numerous sp issues including one which has now prevented me from completing a stage, and hence progressing, took a lot away from what may well have been an awesome game. Not too concerned I shifted focus to mp which was great fun despite server issues. Tonight though was dreadful, getting dropped at random and having levels reversed and xp reset. Perks not persisting and an almost never ending stream of cheats with everything from aimbots to infinite stealth. I'll definately be waiting for the patch. Despite a great first impression the game is at this point unplayable; I have never seen this many bugs in a 'finished' product before. I'm hoping Crytek will address all the issues shortly.

I hate the fact that we have to wait on a patch especially for multiplayer. There is no guarantee at this point what the patch will fix other than security issues. The other things like adding prone or lean and making changes to the nano suit are unlikely because its not bugs its just opinion and different gameplay. At this point I would have loved Crysis 1 with Crysis 2 simplicity and graphics and art direction. But the constant problems in multiplayer like extremely long load times in the lobby, getting kicked from servers, my gun going off automatically are all reasons that im going to call this a bust. The Demo ran better than the game and that is sad. The community should not have to wait on a patch to help with the basic functionality of multiplayer.

i'll go blind with the insane flickring all over the screen....

SP only. Im still waiting for patch 1.2 for MP to get rid of pirates and hackers.

Well since I'm sick now I'm waiting on a patch. Plus I'm tired of wasting hours leveling up to then lose them in MP. So I'm waiting for the patch.

I would play, but there is only the singel auto-save feature.

Sure, i could add a new profile, but the game has only "workarounds" for everything.

I am waiting for a patch with fixes and a anti-cheat system. There are soo many cheaters out there.

I got to the last level, and then I decided to wait for the patch, then replay and beat the game.

I want to see how this patch that is suppose to come later this week turns out. If they screw it up I will most likely return my copy and pick up homefront or something.

Waiting for patch. Takes too long to find servers that aren't broken, and now they're filled with cheaters/aimbotters.

I'm playing it, but rarely. Every time I get excited to play it, I get terrible lag in multiplayer (NAT is still strict for some reason), there are hackers, or my stats get pushed back. In singleplayer, my nano catalyst keeps resetting every time I load up the game - so I quit that too. I give it another try maybe once a day, but usually don't play it for more than 30 minutes because of these issues.

The multiplayer is boring anyways... I play it for 10min and it doesn't amuse me I want the non stop 5 hours gameplay of power struggle back!!

I feel ya for sure. In reality it may take a couple patches to get it fully updated how we all want. Sadly there are so many issues I think this may be the case. I do have hope though as with the previous titles they did follow up with decent patches to improve the games.

Of coarse investing your money elsewhere would be a clear message to them, I personally believe we should support the changes we want to see and stick it out until we are 100% for sure they won't get patched in.

Need a patch for SP, hoping it fixes the NANO glitch, can't really progress at all, can't collect any points
