So it's been 2 days...

You are grateful and appreciative that your game works correct? What is there to be grateful and appreciative for if you are one of the many who are having these major problems? Personally, despite any name calling prior, I appreciate you being on the other side. It helps me to question the veracity of my own stance, but alas, I still feel as I did before.
I had to tinker a bit myself to get the crisper 8k textures, and I couldnt even get the game to install from dvd at first. (my fault tho)
If Rage didn't work for me I would have waited a few days to see what the work arounds were, and if they helped great if not I would prolly just wait and play wow or something. I would have been bummed for sure, but its outta their control if we're waiting on drivers.

Doesn't anyone realize that Kelco is just Trolling. I liked how this thread started out and each day I come back to the forums and check NVIDIA for a driver update. I have tried every possible setting possible on my card (NVIDIA Quaddro FX 1800 Mobile 1GB) to no avail. I want answers man not trollers. This game is nothing more than the Toyota brake debacle for games. I don't blame either the developers nor the video card manufacturers. I am angry at how we have no transparency in the matter. I'm half tempted to write my congressman and ask them to lobby for a gamer bill of rights. I am curious as to what equipment they used to test the game, to see if we can replicate the success.
Oh and just so I put this out there, and please allow me to vent a little, I don't play games on the PC because I like the PC. I play them so that A- I can Mod them, B- If the round is to hard I can use Dev Codes/Cheat Codes, C- a keyboard minimizes my hand getting cramped up a lot more than a controller. When I was younger I played for hours on end on my old Nintendo NES, this has pretty much screwed up my hands so bad my fingers don't always move to the degree I would like them to (for the young ones just look up the NES controller and you will understand why). I also like to us the No Clip codes as sometimes the devs leave jokes in places you cant get to unless you go outside the world, don't do that much now be they used to. Also, and this is for Fallout 3/New Vegas fans, there is something incredibly stress relieving about going up to your baddie with a Fat Man and pulling the trigger at point blank range, and seeing how far the body goes and then trek across the wasteland to see if you can find him/her/it. If consoles could address the Modding/Cheating issue and allow me to do so I probably would be on a console right now. As it is they don't.
PC gamers have a different philosophy to games than console games. We tinker with our games all the time, and do things to them that couldn't be done on the console systems. We sometimes just want to have fun as well as be challenged, but this varies widely in the PC gaming community some want to have more fun and some want to be challenged more. We realize that its just a game not reality. Console gamers tend to stress the challenge part of it and claim thats the fun part of it. They miss out on inside jokes and quirky things that a cheatcodes might bring up, like say replacing your rockets with chickens.
Sorry if I offended anyone, but I'm tired of this and the curse of Bethesda. I have been playing Bethesda games since Terminator Future Shock, and every game has had problems or bugs affiliated with them. Now it seems that any company affiliated with Bethesda is being affected by this curse as well. I just want my game to work.
One final thing I want to say, or ask. Next year I plan on getting a new video card for my Desktop. My desktop Mobo is a Asus AMD M4A79 with an AM3 proccessor in it, personally I want to get am NVIDIA card. This can be problematic with AMD Mobo's though. If ID or Bethesda reads this or anyone that is, can they or someone recommend a card or one thats coming for me to get, and most importantly can play this game!!!!!

Seriously what can you expect from a developer who turned their back on the community who supported them for years and made them successful. I was about to buy this game but glad I didn't and pre-ordered Battlefield 3 LE instead but I was still confused about it until I knew that they totally failed it on PC, I also tried it on my friend's PC and got surprised by the amount of bugs this game has. My friend is extremely frustrated on his decision to get this so called game. Tell me one thing Id... will you buy a substandard product for youself ? we are customers and we are paying you.

If you make crap software then you will get crap sales. Don't expect high sales if you are delivering this kind of quality. And why the discrimination ? if you are making it for 3 platforms then put equal amount of effort in all platforms or if you're not putting that much effort in a particular platform then sale it cheap on that platform. I don't even understand how this game passed QA tests ? if there were any QA tests for the PC version ofcourse....

My platform of choice is PC and will remain always, and I am not buying this game until you fix/polish your product for my platform.

It's id Software's fault. They are the ones responsable for Rage to be released on this lamentable state and not the videocard manufacturers. nVidia and ATI could only be blamed if all games didn't work with the current drivers.

Here check this link out guys,

http://games.on.net/article/13932/RAGE_Graphics_Update_Now_Live_on_Steam

In this news Id software warned PC gamers that if they misuse the newly added graphical options they will face significant performance loss. If that was the reason behind no graphic options in the first place then I must say you totally forgot who we are Id, we certainly know how to fiddle around with settings inside a game. I didn't purchased a freaking Radeon 6970 2 GB to see devs like Id cutting out graphic options from their games, I know how to play with settings.

Anyway what is good is good, I thank you for your response to PC gamers. I check with my friend and see what kind of bug fixes this patch offers and maybe I get this game too.
