The "PS3 version's getting a lot of attention thing and has reached a good place of parity with the 360 version" thing was just a blatant lie.

Bethesda knew the PlayStation 3 version of Skyrim would run into performance issues when it released. Its like building a roof that isnt waterproof, only to return months later to fix the waterdamage.

I cant belive a company can get away with releasing a game that they knew would run into problems.

This was probably one of the mot disappointing things for me. Was my absolute favorite armor in Morrowind, and with Trolls everywhere, I was hoping to see it returned.

Even before the memory problems, the framerate is just sub-par. Usually, the game is running somewhere in the 20-25 field, I'd imagine, with some areas fluctuating to the upper 20s and fog/dense foilage dropping it into the teens... not achieving parity with its 360 counterpart at all.

I counted Stormcloak under "guard" since it is only a recoloring. However it bring the total too 30 including variations, not counting artifacts.

Guess you should throw in Penitus Oculatus and Blade's Armor.

Here's my opinion, not that it's worth owt : while I lament the lack of player character recognition, choices and consequences, and realistic (ok, verisimilitudinous) changes to the world, and I think it fails somewhat as an rpg for these reasons,
1. I only came across the term 'rpg' used by BGS twice before release, once in the sometimes misquoted 'Call of Duty .....has rpg elements in multiplayer' bit by Todd, and once in an interview with Matt Carofano,
and
2. As I say, my opinion, but Skyrim is the best action/adventure game I have ever played, regardless of the 'amount of rpgness' it contains.

It is NOT a lie ... if attention means lots of complains about slow downs and parity refers to price.

And that's still without General Tullius's armor and Jester's/Cicero's Armor, Though I think Tullius's is just a reskin of Penitus Oculatus.

About this 'Skyrim has so few armour types' thing, another one I noticed is people regularly claim Whiterun has 20 or 30 npcs at most, when there are over 70 named npcs, about the same amount of named npcs as Rivet City and Megaton together. Skyrim is definitely not without it's real faults, but inventing them seems to be for sport.

There are a few methuselahs still living amongst us still lamenting the passing of the third era.

And at least you can say over-hyped on the official Bethesda forums. Try saying that on EA'sBioware's.

honestly, I was looking at an argonian face the other day...and I have a 20 inch TV, no HD chord for now, and it still looked 10,000x better than anything oblivion offered.

If you think Skyrim's worse than the game before it, then go play the game before it and trade in your copy of Skyrim. plain and simple.

The fact is, it's 100 times better, sales and reviews prove it, and when DLC comes it's going to be THAT MUCH better than it already is.

overhype= Dragon Age II.

Dragon age origins was one of my favorite games, II was an okay one, but wow was it a let down compared to the first. With Skyrim compared to Oblivion, I dont feel that way at all.

and I see others pointed out Fable, god was III a huge waste of my time and money.

100 times better eh? Is that a fact? Sounds more like opinion to me. If it was a fact there would be no debate and this thread would not exist...kind of silly to judge the game on the face of an Argonian...also why are opinions not allowed here if I may ask? Can we not say that we liked a previous game better without someone saying if you don't like it turn it in...

[censored]... I guess fan and boys together get censored...
