Borderlands 3?

Did you pre-order it from someone who was representing a Nigerian banker?

I didn't like borderlands, it was an MMO without the many players that is the MMO's claim to fame. Dull and repetitive in my opinion, but hey, whatever floats your proverbial boat.

It did get repetitive, but it also has the best action of any FPS hybrid I have ever played. Takes me back to the glory days of playing Black on my Xbox.

If one is looking for great story, character progression/choice, and an open world, Borderlands is definitely not your game.

If one likes to shoot things, collect loot, and giggle at a lot of silly excessive stuff, well...BL works really well for that. ;)

Here's an xbox preview "report" that was on the dashboard (whatever that is). Lots of gameplay footage, showing co-op play, etc.

Edit: nope, not a Fool's. :)

It's more like Diablo 2, but as an FPS. Same style of ARPG play - kill respawning mobs across zones trying to get rare drop weapons/mods/etc, and advance your character. (Which, I guess, is pretty MMO-like, too. But it's more like Diablo in that the world isn't a persistent server, and it can be played solo/offline.)

Meh, whatever :D

Hey, so I tried Borderlands MP for the first time today. I had no idea what I was doing (and neither did the guy I was playing with) so a lot of it was mucking about, but this seems like it could be very fun if set up beforehand. So, anyone have Borderlands on the PC and want to play?

I have a lvl 31 Hunter, lvl 6 Siren, am willing to try the Soldier. The only class I have no interest in is the Berserker. Full disclosure, my Steam overlay stopped working for Borderlands last week (don't know why). And my computer bluescreens once in a while so I may drop out randomly. But I'm very willing to follow whoever's lead.

Those who already play MP: how do you communicate with the other players? Is there an in-game chat system? In today's session there was a lot of fumbling about and the other guy was pretty much doing his own thing. Being able to ask 'what's up?' would help.
