Brotherhood of Steel or Enclave DLC

Who would like to see a DLC with one of the two factions, or both? Discuss the pro's and cons of these two most famous fallout factions.

Enclave ae gone in FO New Vegas, just old people so no I don't want to see an Enclave DLC.

A BoS DLC? I have not played Dead money because I can't get it because I play PC but is that not something to do with the BoS?

Is Neither an option?

The Enclave's time has passed for now- they're holding together by a thread or two after the events of FO2 and FO3. I don't see them coming back anytime soon- at least beyond a raider-ish faction.

The BoS, sad to say, have been overdone by now. By all accounts, they seem to be in full scale-back mode on the west coast, the MidEast version went off the grid, and the East Coast BoS went rogue... and is ironically the only one that's doing WELL (as far as we know.) The BoS need to not be the main star for a game or so to reflect this scaling back- and if they return as the main star, it should be as trying to rebuild them.

I'd be happy to never see the Enclave, any version of the BoS, the NCR or any of the current factions ever again. Been there, done that. I am hoping that any new DLC for F:NV and any future games concentrate on new stuff. Enough nostalgia.

Enclave. I refuse to belive they put all their eggs in one basket with the oil rig. NV shows they have bunkers, and fallout 3 shows they have fallback plans.
I would like just one state to be envclave controled, its logical, they have better, tech, preperation, and maybe men. I hate how in any game they were always the enemy, no different tothe BoS, or the NCR, all are power hungry groups wanting to take over, the difference is the enclave has the ability to complete its goals. And NV shows they didnt all agree, I am hoping for one faction focused on rebilding pre war america the way it was, but without the "kill all ghoul/mutants" part, maybe show them trying to fight off the other factions and show they arent all evil. Kinda like how the fallout 3 BoS were, just more realistic. I am ok wiith the BoS wanting clean water, but no way are they pure good, and the enclave shouldnt be pure evil. Maybe a dlc with a mini civil war you have to settle. Point is I dont likw how they are always the bad guys, always have to kill them (even if its not logical) and I think they could be an interesting faction, if we can get past them shooting anything non enclave on sight.

I wouldn't mind a DLC which let's us help the BOS or Powder Gangers in a main quest kind of way and let them take over New Vegas.
But Enclave is gone.
And unless it's main quest'ish then I'd rather not have any more BOS other than Big Empty and Elijah.

The Enclave in the West Coast have been practially obliterated and almost all of what was left was called to the East Coast to once again be obliterated. So all that is left of the Enclave in the Mojave desert are the remanents we can possibly discover during the course of New Vegas.

The Brotherhood of Steel have been part of all of the Fallout Games so far, so I think they've been covered enough already.

For a factional based DLC, I wouldn't mind seeing something involving the Followers of the Apocalypse. Hmm thinking about it, one based around Ceasar's Legion may be worthwhile as well, to add more for them in the game.

I wouldn't mind an Enclave DLC as long as we get more Power Armor.

After FO3, if I never see the BOS again, it will be too soon.

Did enjoy blowing up their Bunker in NV however. :mohawk:

Arguably the biggest flaw with FO3. I agree with you 100%

Yep, the BoS have never been nice, yet in 3 they are freaking saints. I would be less pissed if they wanted the purifier but only gave the clean water to people who provided technology, or worked for the somehow. More realistic of them. The BoS in this game did it right. Ever visit hidden valley at night ? I found 4 hostile paladins, with gatling lasers, and laser rifles. Now go to the cittadel in 3, yest they wont let you in, ut they already seem too friendly.

esides I think the faction system would have been good in fallout 3, that way I wouldnt be forced to join the BoS, who trusted me after I routinely killed them for armour, poisoned the water, and [censored] them over at every oppertunity. Only when I nuked the citadel did it click "holy hit that guy is trying to kill us". The brotherhood in fallout 3 is what the ncr is in new vegas. Because pissing of the ncr is bad, they control most of the mojave. i dont see why the game goes on so much about hoover dam, they ncr already seems to control the wasteland. Wonder what happenede to the trogs there, I am guessing the ncr "annexed" hoover, and had a "mistranslation" like bittersprings.
I feel they werent as bad as fallout 3, but the ncr/legion was still pretty bad in NV, especially when you compare locations, quests, npcs comppanions etc.

Dunno how a House DLC would work though.
What would the story be and how would it cross over to the main quest?

Agreed. I was also really impressed with the portrayal of the Enclave in NV. For Auld Land Syne did a lot to make the Enclave seem less like raiders in power armor and more like people who were doing what they believed in.

We fight an 'evil' entity that has a giant Star Wars Sandcrawler located at a key military location, then the DLC ends like a Micheal Bay movie. EXPLOSIONS! EXPLOSIONS! EXPLSIONS!

It's been done already? Dang :sadvaultboy:

yeah the enclave seemed more human, I admit that in BS there was an element where yoou find they helped that dying wastelander and let him join. But they were still raiders in PA as the only interaction with them was killing them.

No. Been there; done that.

Let's move on to different foes. If I want more interaction with BoS or Enclave, I'll load up FO3.

Those are my thoughts.

Gannon family power armor FTW lol, but yah the Dead money DLC already kinda has to do with the BoS with father Elijah, So I would want a DLC where you uncover a secret Enclave bunker underground and for years and there were enclave forces hiding in it, and it starts with the remnants bunker picking up a distress signal from them, and they are fighting a new mutant they created. But the enclave created a ton of new weapons and armour :P

I think the next DLC should be about a race of mutated Molerat Men.

You know, like the ones I used to bulls-eye in my T-16 back home.

I think you could have a fairly good DLC idea there if you dropped the "new mutant they created" as well as the "ton of new weapons and armor" I mean it would be cool to see new mutants (other then the night kin), maybe the super mutants have somehow found a way to breed with centaurs or maybe they themselves mutated upon contact with some sort of radical chemical one of the various weapons companies created, that changes they're DNA structure. Some new weapons and power armor would be cool but not to many, I could see this working out as a high level DLC that could happen in the Divide or Big empty. Very sound idea about a distress signal from the elclave being found by the remnents. Anyone else think this is a solid idea?

How would that work the only way to open the bunker is to have arcade as a follower

That would be cool, maybe a fallout game where you were born into the enclave and grew up to be an enclave soldier. The enclave was always portrayed as the bad guy, even more so on fallout 3,they were more a military faction on fallout 2,but on fallout 3 it was just, shoot, kill,EVERYTHING!

Could be interesting. But that would force a backstory on you like FO3. Not the best thing for RP.

 I love your name is BoS and your avatar is of the enclave. But yeah I agree.

True it would force a backstory. But no more than NV. You could be an enclave scout, or something along those lines, looking for a way to help the enclave spread. But you could have choices like fallout 3 had the Autumn branch and Eden branch. One side wants to wipe the slate clean to rebuild. The other wants to get the locals on their side to help rebuild. The enclave could be a very interesting faction, especially after the split in 3, and we dont really see much of them aside fromfighting them, which is a shame. But that way you could find the enclave still have power, but not know where, and you would still be able to make choices on how you develop them. Ok I am getting carried away, but I jsut want to join them, and think they have the means to do alot of good, if only we get a game where they arent the bad guys. hey will have that technology for a long time, but how they think and operate can easily be changed from leader to leader.

I think I can see what you mean other than when you said "But no more than NV". That would be substantially more than NV imo. But still workable. Yeah I can go along with you on that.
