Gallus' encrypted journal is stuck in your inventory even after finishing all thieves guild quests.

If you shout while at Throat of the World, you can still get a courier later giving you a letter from a friend who wants your power to grow and has heard you at Throat of the World. I mean the only people there are Greybeards so how did that person even hear me. And come on, they know my name AND it caused a stir to shout up there? :P

When freeing Odahviing, the journal says "Talk to Odahviing". However, upon releasing him, Olfina Gray-Mane instantly attacked him, and after that I defeated him nine times without any kind of effect, and still being unable to speak to him. Sure sounds like a bug there.

At least it worked to reload.

While in one of the ruins (I think it was Folgunthur), I came across this http://steamcommunity.com/id/ShakyrNvar/screenshot/648746351847302238/. There was a set of three levers that went in three positions, either left, right or in the middle. Left rotated the door one way, right the other and in the middle stopped the door. Well I got through fine, continued on and then I wandered back after killing a few rooms to find the last of the doors in that position, with the metal door slowly closing.

I've had my companion (accidentally) fireball my mount then turn around and slaughter my mount when it retaliated by attacking my companion. I got on the horse hoping this would convince the companion to stop nuking the horse but she killed it right out from underneath me.
I've also had my companion die in dungeons from stepping on a pressure plate and die from the resulting poison arrows/darts. As far as I know they're not supposed to die if not killed by the player.

If a neutral follower is being attacked and bends their knee (surrender mode due to low hp) and you continuously heal them with Restoration spells like Heal Other while they are still being attacked, it is possible for them to eventually get stuck in the knee bending status even with full hp and then crawl through the rest of the dungeon at snake pace and permanently remain so.

When ever i hand in a quest to the jarl in Dawnstar, i get my reward but still have the Quest in the misc. where it says i need to deliver it, altho i ofcouse cant as i have done it.

218 hours in.

-Went to Markarth. re-visited shrine of talos for blessing. surprise, surprise. Guards are there from some quest I did, iirc around 60 hours into the game. Now Markarth is pretty much avoid, or use console commands to cheat. elementary beta stage testing.


can't buy house in windhelm...because of whatever bug Beth/Zen never found...
iirc has something to do with a quest "blood on the ice" which is funny, because until I did research, never even knew the quest existed.

out of the hundreds of bugs, these, broke the game for me.

-218 hours. pissed away. and no, I'll not replay from an earlier save. I'll un-install before I do that. lol.

If you can get those guards to arrest you, you can pay the bounty, and fix everybody in Markarth being hostile. This is a pretty common problem apparently.

I've notice that, but also a quest item can have more than one in your inventory and I can't store one of them in my house or share one with Lydia.

There were one quest that I get a staff called "Grand Charming Staff" and later in a completely different cell I found exactly the same item so I took that, but when I tried to store it in one of those chests I got in Breezehome both items was stuck in my inventory. Period. :rolleyes:

I'm glad my Amulets of Talos (all 15 of them!) weigh so little =/

nope. did the escape from mines quest. guards are stuck in a never ending loop. only option is to cheat, or possibly get the storm-cloaks to take over Markarth, if that is even an option.

I'm not sure if these have been mentioned yet but I've run into a couple of bugs whilst playing. On my first character, the game bugged out when you have to get General Tullius and Ulfric Stormcloak to go to peace talks. When you talk to Ulfric all he says is 'I hear whatever his advisers name is has given you something to do' (despite already killing the ice wraiths) and his adviser just says I can't believe you got Ulfric to attend the peace talks even though I haven't done this yet.

In an attempt to complete the main quest I created a 2nd character which is now stuck where you have to learn the three clear elemental words of power so you can go up the path. No matter how long you stare at the words on the ground you don't learn them.

Now on my third character but losing the will to play anymore.

I Had the Dragon at Kystone( or whatever it's called ) it appeared as just a purple texture, I died and when i tried again it was gone, It may
have been a one off but I figured i'd post it here.

Came across the Bug in the A Cornered Rat quest when Esbern unlocks the door I couldn't open it so I had to use the tcl no clipping cheat to walk through It then it opened ok from the inside, Also Esbern has no speech even when I'm asking him questions and After getting Esbern to riverwood all the speech I'm getting is from Delphine who keeps on saying { Lets See What Esbern Has To Say } and he puts a book on the table over and over again for about 5 minuets but eventually the quest is completed and I get another one to meet them at another location.

I tried this quest twice from an old save at the start of the Diplomatic Immunity quest

Truth wins! Here is 100 + reasons why I hate Skyrim:

User Interface

1st Bethesda did not repair what has been broken and shattered what was right. GUI was totally OK, but Bethesda decided to change it and managed to create something that does not work on consoles or PC, it has much less functionality and more to it, looks nasty.

2nd You can't sort items. You can't sort the items! CAN'T SORT ITEMS!!

3rd It is desperately confusing and just doesn't use all the available space.

4th When you pick something that you do not want, which is very easy, in dozens of items it is difficult to find.

5th If you want to cancel a trivial function, not just pressing B / CANCEL menu will pop up as if you wanted to format the disk and you have to select CANCEL / NO and confirm by pressing A.Wtf?.

6th World Map in 3D is a good idea, but in reality in Skyrim it's just chaos.

7th Maps of the interior in the form of brown spots are automatically generated somehow.

9th Compass is a hell, where everything overlaps and where your brand, allowing you to help in orientation and only one has a different color than white, there is a certain distance at all to see and to close is usually covered with everything else, so it is absolutely useless.

12th Gone are clear statistics from Oblivion. A lot of things you can find difficult, or not at all.

13th Time and effect spells that you apply to yourself, remaining time not seen.

14th When you dive, you can't see how much air you have left.

16th Indicators of stamina and magic are normal, but health indicator shrinks on both sides. Why?

17th Whatever you want to use (magic, stuff, weapons), you must open the inventory.

18th Favorites menu, which is why you do not have to go to the inventory is as stupid as the inventory itself.



Graphics, animations and sounds

19th Bethesda did it again. Has published some nice screenshots of carefully prepared places and let the rest randomly generate by some crazy algorithm. If people did it, even worse.

Don't see Silenced Tongues on the list. The quest won't start. Entered Volunruud and read Heddic's Volunruud Notes but nothing happens. Setstage dunVolunruudQST in the console does nothing.
Have the sword and axe but the door tells me I don't have the necessary item. Tried simply unlocking the door via console as well, that doesn't work either. Bug possibly tied to destroying the Dark Brotherhood?

(Has anybody successfully progressed past this?)

At quest "Blindsighted" of Thieves Guild, after kill Mercer, Brynjolf and Karliah don't swim to escape hold and stuck in the water forever. After finish "Blindsighted" also make radiant quest of Vex and Delvin break, I can still finish extra job and get reward but can't get more extra jobs, speak with Vex, Delvin to get extra jobs, they said give it to me and move from the current position but not nany extra jobs will start and when I talk to them again, there are still option "ready for extra jobs" like I not get it yet.

Had a couple of bugs myself-

The guards in solitude near the fire seem to be huddles around getting warmth off a dead Penitus Oculatus Agent instead of the fire.
During the quest in dragons bridge, I was leaving towards solitude when I saw a noble on a horse, with a guard. I had seen this fellow earlier, but this time as soon as i looked at him, the horse, taking the noble with him, shot up into the air and onto the mountaintop, the guard just left standing there as if nothing had happened.
Came across a book on a mountain that was... well, stretched. The graphical lines making up the book didn't seem to end, just shot into the sky forever. The book was also unusable, and looked very out of place.
Had an issue whereby I got off a stolen horse on a slight hill with a path, the horse instantly disappeared and in its place was a dead novice necromancer rolling down the hill
Random purple buildings (Fixed by 4Gb LAA patch)

Ugh. Commoners need to stop running toward dragons trying to kill them with a dagger. I've now lost two villager NPC's in dragon attacks because they decided to play Conan the Cutlery Salesman. Weak NPC's should be running for cover when a dragon flies overhead, not running into the nearby hills where the dragon landed to put the fear of a +2 Ginsu Knife into it (and the +1 Tunic of Filth ain't helping either). Veteran adventurers and guards are the only ones who should be fighting a dragon in village attacks, and even the guards should occasionally wet themselves and run.

NPC Bugs:
- I don′t know what caused it, but since beginning the thieves guild questline, the guards in rifton sometimes start attacking other npcs the moment i enter Rifton. Sometimes, they will calm down after a few moments chasing away the vendors at the marketplace, sometimes they kill everyone on the marketplace. All the time they leave the PC alone and even talk to me normally once they sheat their weapons.
- The horse "Frost" has a secret death wish. Whenever there′s a dragon attack after quicktravel, the horse decides it has to tank the dragon. If I′m not really fast at killing the dragon, Frost turns into dragon fodder.
- Louis Letrush not only clones himself, he suddenly appears at the stables in whiterun next to Frost, not moving and not doing anything
- Not sure if it′s a bug, but the werewolf Sinding whom I allowed to live in the daedric quest for hircine suddenly was seen walking around the brewery near whiterun in werewolf-form in bright daylight; other npcs simply ignored him despite being a gigantic werewolf in the middle of the road.

Questlines:
- Another version of the "Companions" quest "rescue mission" bug: Quest sends me to free Fastred from "Graywater Gorge" and return her to ivarstead. Fastred is still back home in ivarstead. "Showquesttarget" tells me that "door: Unreachable", Setstage command doesn′t do anything. Might have to do something with the "Book of Love" quest connected to Fastred, which I did earlier?
- Thieves guild quest to plant evidence at House Battle-Born doesn′t work. Whenever I try to drop the evidence or put it in some container in the house, game tells me that I must not drop quest objects.
