I just wanted to point out that many of these bugs are not universal. Of course, sometimes the bug itself says so. But, for example, my nord female, when she was a vampire, had her eyes change colors. (And, I have not seen most of these reported bugs...)

Meanwhile, from personal experience, the *hardest* part of fixing a bug is getting it to happen. If you cannot get it to happen, you cannot know if you have fixed it.

So, I would strongly advise updating this list with links to individual reports. Or, even better, start a new list which only includes reproducible bugs with links to steps to reproduce the problem (e.g. "load this save file in an unmodded game").

Seriously, some of these bugs are asking bethesda to spend weeks or maybe longer of exploratory work to reproduce a problem that someone here could probably get in a couple minutes.

Just ran into this with the Shor's Stone mine. After having cleared the mine as a quest so they could use it again, the spiders respawn inside killing those present.
I don't think that's the intention. It's not the first time either. The Forsworn at Kollskegger Mine have respawned and I can't really go near it without them killing the guy you sell the ore to.

Chiming in with what other posters have stated, I also appreciate the work that goes into maintaining this thread and the thoroughness of the list, but it is in desperate need of organization. Bugs need to be organized by severity and repeatability. Severity is rated A, B, C, and D, and repeatability is categorized as always, sometimes, and rarely. Repeatability is self-explanatory, but severity is slightly nuanced. Generally, A bugs are crash bugs. B bugs are game stoppers (player spawns inside wall, loses all of his gear and falls into lava, dragon repeatedly kills all of town and breaks main quest, etc). C bugs are usually bugs to side quests. You really expect them not to be there, but if they are there, you move on and cut your losses. The interface is also so bad I would call certain parts of it a C bug (not being able to bind directly to the left hand, the Misc category being hilariously overcrowded at all times, etc)

Almost all of the bugs in the list are D bugs. Small, annoying, immersion breaking bugs that otherwise ruin the polish of the game. Most companies don't even fix D bugs anymore, and in Skyrim's case, this is definitely something that the modders are going to have to fix. I still applaud the effort to catalogue everything, but it would be immensely helpful for both devs and modders if this list looked more like:

ALWAYS REPEATABLE BUGS

A Bugs
- CTD when entering Generic Dungeon #72.
- Save corruption after ## hours played.

B Bugs
- Equiping Dagger of Epicness kills player and companion.

C Bugs
- Quest NPC #69 won't spawn at required spot.

D Bugs
- Dragons spawn at a ridiculous rate. I'm level 30 with 20 spare dragon souls.
- Mjoll will NOT STOP TALKING while my companion.
- My horse hates me and will suicide run off cliffs to get away from me.

SOMETIMES REPEATABLE BUGS

A Bugs

Okay you get the idea.

You can also have categories within the D bug section, similar to the categories you have already. Don't get me wrong, you can certainly continue to maintain the list in it's current form. I'm mearly pitching my $.02.

FYI The following bug:

Aspect of Terror, Hypnotic Gaze and Rage perks in the Illusion school double the damage done by destruction spells, 1 for each element.

...has been tested, and I think it's only Aspect of Terror that affects certain Fire spells, probably the ones that are capable of making enemies flee if you take that perk. Hypnotic Gaze and Rage don't seem to affect Frost or Shock. Moreover, Aspect of Terror doesn't "double" Fire damage, rather it adds 10 damage to the spell, in the same way that Aspect of Terror adds 10 levels to Illusion spells' maximum.

(snip)

The purpose of me making this thread was for a unified area for people to check before they posted new threads with bugs already reported, for modders to have a quick reference point to check without scouring every single thread here when they go to make their own unofficial patches, and likewise for Bethesda, should they ever show their faces on this thread, to have a quick "reference point" rather than likewise checking every single thread (them checking 1 thread seemed more likely).

Beyond that, I have no motivation or wish to provide anything further - that is something that somebody with more time, or being paid (eg the job of QA people, something that seems to be sorely missing for Skyrim), would do. (categorise, log, provide save files, reproducable steps, etc.). As such, I won't update/repost this thread with Thread #4 or beyond (I'm not actually playing Skyrim myself since the first 5 days, other than to keep loading it up to try and reproduce as many of the bugs that I post here as seems feasible - I can reproduce many quite easily).

Further threads (#4 and beyond) can and by the sounds of it will be provided by the wonderful volunteer services of r.d.m. and Flounder, and hopefully others, who are more than happy to organise and put even more free time and effort in to save Bethesda's QA funds than I am able to!

I'll give Skyrim another play in a few months time, after a few more (I hope) official patches and the starts of the unofficial patches start fixing the game to the degree where I'm not actually fearful of breaking everything by exploring freely ;)

Edit: Should point out/make clear that my main reason for saying I can't keep this list up was the changelog for 1.2. Seeing so few things fixed in such a half-hearted way made me realise that a thread like this would need maintaining for months on end before even half of it were fixed, and I really don't have that sort of time to hand out - Had the patching process looked more promising I may have been more motivated!

That insanely long list is the reason why I haven't bought the game. And I've been longing for this game.

Azzer, the work you've put in is greatly appreciated. You're a damn hero and I'm sure some brave soul will take up the torch and continue this epic thread.
