This guy doesnt stay outside, he follows her all day. Whenever we make love, he is there. Whenever we are balancing the checkbook, he is there. Whenever we skin our hides (and I'm not talking about hunting) he is there. :sadvaultboy:

What's his name?

In one preview someone mentioned something like this happening. But I thought they would have fixed it. In the preview their was a quest for the girls affection. The PC married her, but the suitor still followed her around, even into the PC's house. Sounds like you have a similar problem.

If you can't start the quest with the guy and make him fail the romance, then death is the only real option left.

So... has anyone tried murdering their wife? Can you remarry after that? I mean, not that I'd do that...

This ^^

Just in case I make a mistake.

I married a woman from riften, a nord woman that sent me to a dwemer ruin to find her sword.

well after I did, she was interested so we married. When I asked her to move in, she brought another guy? Lol? So now it's two nords a skank and a pizza place in my house and he will not leave.

Oh yeah, that's Aarin. He's annoying as [censored].

I havent gotten married yet, enjoying the single life talking to different chicks. Can you ask your wife to be your companion? Take her on a nice dragon fight then.. I dont know, leave her to handle it. Wait, they arent essential NPCs are they?

HAHAHAHAHA!!
This topic should be sticky. Really.... From far the most funny topic I've read on this forum! hahahahahh...

Why don't you murder your wife? If you don't want to keep the remorse, open the console and resurrect her. Done! Fake death for true divorces!

In life we must be smart!

I'm anxious to get marry and... happen to her bring another man. I would appreciate to kill him torturately slowly. Haha. I would go to jail nicely.

What else? Think about it: I'm a assassin. A murderer. (In the game, by the way)

Ouch. Every time a marriage doesn't work out you have to pull a King Henry?

Ah! Now that I know his name I'll make sure he's dead before I do her quest or marriage. Thanks.

Imagine this post on a non-video game forum with the italic part omitted. (EDIT: and maybe with proper grammar)
But luckily its just a video game, so we can discuss our desires to do such things.

Followers can't perma-die to enemies from my experiments.... but if they accidentally get in your way... perma-death! I know... I've lost a Housecarl and a dog to them leaping in front of my bow. (And I didn't mean to do it. I was sad about the dog. Annoyed at my useless Housecarl.)

As for the console command... I have yet to get it to work. I tried to rez the dog with it. No go.

I'm also avoiding marriage for now. Not sure I want to deal with it... Not sure I am interested in any of the available Argonian males... and by the time I find an attractive sturdy Nord male that's not bothered by scales and a little assassination work she's going to have standards and expectations. Why marry Lydia? you get all the benefits of marrying her when she's your servant, and you can marry the lovely and entrepreneurial Ysolde as well...

Well apparently

Spoiler
Aerin and Mjoll the Lioness both live in the same house in Riften. I don't know what their relationship was supposed to be. They may be siblings. I take it that if you get Mjoll's sword and get her to marry you that Aerin moves in also. I don't know if that is a bug or intended. I can't find a quest that connects the two.

Well, apparently, for all the insane glitchiness that has occurred since we married, Onmund is a real prize compared to most of the companions out there. Sure he never fights in combat anymore, but he seems always happy to see me. >.> Has anyone else had romance partners start acting weird (game mechanics wise) since they got hitched?

There is absolutely no way to be romantic with your wife. You can't kiss or hug, give gifts, or anything.

Then what is the point in getting married?

It's a question that philosophers have been asking for years. In game at least, you get food, occasionally money, a nice ring, and a couple of buffs.
