Capes and Multiplayer

Post » Thu Oct 08, 2009 4:11 pm

Hey guys! First off let me start by saying that my heart stopped when I read the announcement of Skyrim on UESP :) But enough of that let's get to the point. I think it would be cool to add in capes and wings? Like you can make capes with leather, you can buy crappy capes from shops but if you do quests you get like magic capes?

And my second point, personally, I've been playing Elder Scrolls series ever since Morrowind came out and I have been fine with the lack of multiplayer. We don't need multiplayer in Skyrim. I am sure many true fans of the series will agree with me.

There are just some games i want to play alone and this is one of them. There are plenty of other muliplayer games out there and i'll play those with my mates whenever i feel like it.

Wondered when the multiplayer threads wound start showing. I would like co-op. Yes I know it "will never happen" (or many of you will at least say this).

As far as capes/cloaks go, I would be VERY surprised if Bethesda doesn't take the hint from the Oblivion and Morrowind mod scene and doesn't include that item slot.

Agreed, co-op could been nice. But anything larger then that wouldnt fit the game i think. And they should deffinately add capes.

I'll pass on the capes. There are enough clipping issues without adding capes and cloaks into the problem.

Considering you can enchant clothing I don't see the need for magic capes.

Somebody fishes out that Morrowind-multiplayer pic. :P

Well, No ? As for capes, no worries. The more item choice the better, as far as I'm concerned.

I'd also like more fingers for my enchanted rings. It simply isn't logical.

While I wouldn't mind the ability to hop into a friend's game and co-op, I don't see Bethesda doing this type of thing.

As far as capes go, I can't remember who said this - but they're a real bastard to get working properly. There are reasons a lot of fantasy games leave them out.

No multiplayer please.

Also, if they can get around with physics engine, I really think they should add a cape (a static cape is not THAT cool after all) slot. If not... well... I guess we need to use tail again.

EDIT: capes like the ones in Dynasty Warriors 6 will do

This is not going to be a multi-player game, and I hope they never try to make it so.

These are so much better as single player experiences IMHO.

I'm a little surprised it's that one sided! I wouldn't want multiplayer, as none of my friends play TES, so it would be an aspect that wouldn't really benefit me - and I'm selfish like that :P
I quite like the idea of capes - I hope that clothing customisation as a whole is improved.

Yes hopefully Bethesda does take the hint and add capes to the game, whilst they're at it hopefully they'll take from other popular mods and add things like WERE CREATURES, see through windows and maybe even things like MMM, OOO and COBL.

Again may I stress The WERECREATURES!!!

Capes are cool. Multi-player, co-op or having someone talk to me while I'm playing: No.

I hope that clothing customisation as a whole is improved.

I never want a multi-player mode in an Elder Scrolls game, it would take away from the epic single-player experience that we all know and love. A way to trade items with your friends would be a nice addition though.

As for capes...We've been wanting capes since Morrowind. I play on the 360 so I can't get mods, so I hope this game has them. Capes seem so appropriate considering Skyrim is a cold place.

Capes is an interesting idea but I'd rather have the Pauldrons come back or be able to wear clothing under armor.

Multiplayer is a big NO if you want Multiplayer then have Zenimax come out with an Elder Scrolls MMO.

I'd rather the Bethesda dev team put their entire resources into making the game as good as possible instead of worrying about multiplayer.

I'd love to have up to 4 player CO-OP with mates in this game. It would be so much fun doing things in a party.

I think a simple battle arena would be fine. Maybe with a changing environment and monster battles and such; that would be awesome, but I wouldn't go further with multiplayer.

I think that capes and cloaks are a good idea. I'm picturing something like http://www.kristanna.com/new_section/photos/photos/29_Nov_Day_12_129.jpg. I realize it's kind of a bad picture, but the costume is cool.

Multiplayer...definitely not.
