Confession: I often either yell at people in my head, or, when appropriate out loud. But it's all at people on the internet. For saying what I view as "stupid" or "ridiculous" comments.
This includes:
-People showing off. ( "I spend my weekends in my Ralph Lauren cardigan sampling wines from the oldest vineyard in the world" etc.)
-Ridiculous generalizations. ( "I drink beer, not that piss you Americans call beer." "I like cheese, not that ridiculous crap you Americans call cheese." "Gay people are so nice!" etc.) [I have absolutely nothing against gay people, but still, generalizing still shouldn't be okay- and people who support gays where I live tend to talk about them like every gay is a sassy shopping companion who loves animals. Ugh. It's an orientation, not their entire personality]
-Being anti-something just for the sake of starting an argument.
-Hypocrites. ("I hate cultural-appropriation. Now check out my plugged ears and plans for scarification.")
-People who take time to write flame-bait comments on youtube videos of artists they don't like.
-Throwing strong opinions in other peoples' faces without doing your research to back it up. "Pirating isn't even that prevalent, stop SOPA!" "Africans don't care that it's Chrismas! There are no Christians there!"-regretfully, yes, someone said that).
-People who brag about being hipster. Bleh.
-People who are protective of their bands. ("I liked Death Cab for Cutie a year after their first album came out, I miss when they weren't popular. Can you name all their albums and your top three songs from each? No? You're not even a fan." No, I'm afraid you're actually a very poor fan if you don't want the band to gain a following and become successful at what they love.)
-Girls who take photos of themselves with their webcam, leaning towards their computer with their hair to one side, head tilted, with a random caption that supposedly this pose emulates. ("It's an indian-summer" (that was in July- look up Indian summer next time.) "I've got a gypsy soul" "boreddddd" "summmerrrrr" "I love cats" "I hate my parents" "First day of school" etc.)
-Slaughtering spelling for the sake of making the word look cute. "lameeeeee" "loveeeee" etc. (generally used in facebook statuses, in my experience).
-Overuse of rhetorical questions. You know what I mean? Of course you do.
-People who obsess over fake relationships. (commonly referred to as "shipping", ie "Drary [Draco Malfoy + Harry Potter] is the best, because gays are awesome!")
-Basing your opinion of something solely on how "mainstream" it is.
Whew, that was good to get off my chest.
