Well if its stuff that annoy us, I got something. How do you feel about people who say "Cymru am byth" yet they dont speak welsh ?

I dont speak Welsh, so dont say it, but god it annoys me when I see people do it.

Then again maybe its just me, I hate when I see people who arent Japanese, and cant speak the language using Japanese. I men, why ? You speak English, yet you feel the need to say one of the what, 3 words, you know in Japanese.

it annoys me when people use letters from other languages as replacement to make fancy words, ex: O=?, R=Я, etc.
it's horrible to read for those who know the sound of the letters

Im so gld I live in the UK and we dont hve letters like that on the keyboard. I know people would abuse it. I have no idea what they sound like though. Im guessing the AE thing sounds like an I ? Damn im glad to use the latin alphabet.

The way I used it was a bit off phonologically to be honest, just for a poorly attempted comical effect. In phonetics it's either ? or ?. So to think of sounds in British English that come close... 'Cat' and 'keg'.

? sounds like a mix of A and O, and ?, something like "uh". ?=amplify, ?=honest, ?=undo, i think those are about right
and the russian Я is a "ya"

I always think of 'awe' when trying to emulate ?. Or simply the 'o' of continental Germanic languages like German or Dutch. And ? is close to 'bird' or even better the French 'bleu' or German/Swedish ?.

yea that would be right, except "awe" can be pronounced more with an A than an ?, depending on the accent :biggrin:
