I'll be ordering through Steam when:

1) We (PC gamers) get an OFFICIAL statement regarding what version of DirectX Crysis 2 will use.

2) Trusted reviewers confirm that Crysis 2 isn't consoified to the point that it's not even worth acknowledging as a PC game.

Loving the multiplayer....but I had to make a NEW account just to play the demo, this account will not let me log in and its all the correct login info. Hope this problem doesn't conclude in the full game.

Same for me, i still have not played the demo as i cannot.....i repeat....cannot login. tried creating new accounts and nothing.....nada.....zilch

I hope this gets fixed as its really turning me off the game

People with the retail versions cannot get full steam integration, that is, download and get the game patched via steam. You can however later add the .exe to the steam games list and launch it from there to get the steam community ingame. But that's it.

I am anxiously awaiting playing this game, I've already pre-orderd it on steam. A certain leak made me decide on buying this, as well as the multiplayer demo.

All of your purchases are cloud based. I just got a new computer and all I had to do is install steam and all of my Steam made purchases are in my games list for me to download. No searching for discs, and then hunting down patches...

im not convinced, i did not see a patch for crysis1 on steam and i like to mod files

although i like to just play without any issues all updates, which i hope steam and crytek will nail this one so im giving them a go

also gamespy is what you login with to play multiplayer someone said they prefered steam?

I won't buy this over steam, cause I had bad experiences with multiplayer-games on steam. (For example Call of Duty).

I'm just confused about the "start a day early" preorder bonus. And the timer on the site. It says the game launches in 1 day 12 hours~ so like, tuesday at midnight or 1am (PST)?
But steam says it doesn't unlock until like 10am (pst) tuesday..

In that case you should have bought the DVD. The download will be about 9GB :)
